Enriched Air Diving sometimes called "Nitrox" is another of PADI's Specialty Courses available to the certified diver. Enriched Air Diving can open up new worlds to the certified diver, if you enjoy deep diving it will increase your bottom time, if you are a hunter it will allow you to hunt longer and deeper, if you're a photographer you can take more picture on ever dive, whatever you dounderwater nitrox can make it a longer and even safer diving. Enriched Air Diving uses a higher oxygen content then normal air. You may remember from your Open Water Course that air is approximately 21% oxygen. By increasing the oxygen (32to36%) you lower the nitrogen content. This means that you are absorbing less nitrogen and can extend your bottom times, Great Ha! Boring.....

EANx training is all about the calculations, the use of analyzers and the physiological effects on the body of increased percentages of O2 in your tank. Read the book and do the exercises with the 3 cards that come with it. Save the money that you would spend on the DVD to pay for your first Nitrox fills.

This DVD is fine, but does not include anything not in the course book. When it comes to teaching the dive tables (which for the Enriched Air is most of the challenge)it doesn't even try... it basically tells you to read the book. If I had it to do over I would not have spent the money on the DVD.
