This movie reminds me of a typical weekend diving on California's North Coast. I've been abalone diving for almost 30 years and this DVD provides a very accurate and entertaining depiction of what you can expect and the sort of people you'll come across while diving for abs. I thought the shark references were a bit overblown.
Overall this DVD contains some great precautions for abalone divers and some interviews from some of the most experienced abalone divers in the world. Personally, I was a little bit disappointed due to its length (only 48 min. total) because I was hoping to see more of the actual diving scenes than the interviews. However, the rest of my abalone buddies seem to enjoy the video since this is probably one of the first video ever documented in pursuing the red abalones.

This is the first documentary to ever show the sport of abalone diving and the divers that venture out along the north coast of California. If you are interested in diving California, this movie is a must!
