This is very easy to use. I think it will get better if the interface was more modern. It is like a calculator. It is very useful. You will need this for your PADI IDC course.

Comments about Padi PADI eRDP (70028):

This is a useful tool for learning about dive tables and planning dives. The entry method is logical, and the supplied manual is informative with a good tutorial. The unit also has an attached slate with necessary dive info printed on it.

On the downside, to convert it from Imperial to Metric and back you have to unscrew the battery cover and flip a jumper switch after removing the battery. That functionality could have been built into the software I'm sure.

While it's no substitute for knowing how to use your PADI dive table, it is better than total ignorance and ending up with DCS.

Would be great for a dive instructor to have as a classroom tool.
