OVERALL A GOOD DPV. EASY BATTERY REMOVAL IS A BIG PLUS FOR ME. ON BOARD ALARMS FOR WATER ENTRY IS ALSO A PLUS. UNIT A LITTLE ON THE HEAVY SIDE IF YOU ARE DOING A BEACH DIVE. THIS WOULD BE GOOD CHOICE FOR ANYONE THAT CANNOT AFFORD THE MORE EXPENSIVE MODELS AND DO NOT WANT TO WASTE THEIR TIME WITH SOMETHING CHEAPER.

Comments about Sea-Doo Sea-Doo Explorer X Sea Scooter:
Used on a 100' dive with no issues. Worked extremily well with surprising power, easily adjustible trim - better than bladefish by far on power and ease of use (can tether). Verticle charger, pump to pop off top - really innovative, they give you lots of o-ring lube, fairly light for DPV - 32 pounds. [$] for a descent scooter - oh so tempting!I took this out on the first dive, then the second dive was the bladefish, then for the third dive I left the bladefish on the boat and took out the sea doo again. Battery lasted very well. Not as fast or as powerful as an oceanic mako but really acceptable speed - Not sure what prop setting equates but there was no feeling like you want to kick all the time. With the bladefish you constantly want to kick so the fish don't laugh at you. (taking away much of the air savings of a dpv)Cons - takes up space like standard dpv - bulky for shore dive like normal dpv, made of plastic - would be more afraid of dropping it, battery requires a few additional rules for care and longer to recharge - sea doo has traditionally poor reliability record.I am hoping the engine compartment doesn't leak or something lame like that because I think if I can keep this one well taken care of - I really like it - especially for [$]!
