I have heard all the pros and cons of Miflex hoses, and in the end felt it was, as one person described it, a solution looking for a problem. Existing rubber hoses are more than sufficiently good enough. Why change from something that works to something else that also works.
However, I needed a new hose to use on my pony bottle. Miflex hoses are so flexible, they can easily survive the longterm storage folded up along side the tank without sticking 6-8 inches out from the first stage. This, alone, made the hose the perfect choice. I then looked at the way I transport my regulators and decided these hoses are not looking for a problem to solve.
Aside from being extremely easy to see amongst the black rubber hoses on a dive boat, they bend and curve easily around things without needing a hose sleeve. No more tugging at the mouthpiece. They are comfortable to use.
They are sufficiently light enough that they are slightly positive.

This hose is very light and flexible as advertised. It also comes in a spiffy dry bag that can be used as a document keeper or maybe to put a couple of small tools in. I just wish they would have put as much effort into the crimped fittings. The fittings are chrome or were. After the crimping process, the chrome is now cracked and flaking.[...] I expected more. A little more attention to detail could have prevented this aesthetic issue. I purchased one to test it out for my primary regulator and I will not be purchasing and more.

This hose, in all lengths, is lighter, more flexible, and all around better to dive with than standard hoses. I'd love to have this material for all my hoses. I'm using the 7' in DIR configuration and find it far less cumbersome than a standard hose running over the shoulder, AND easier to put in a regulator bag.

These hoses are slowly replacing my traditional hoses. They are light, strong, and extremely durable. Far more flexible than traditional hoses as well. You can tie these in a knot and still have airflow. Highly recommended for all applications. Can't wait for an HP version.

Replacing standard hoses with Miflex hoses makes your regulator lighter and more flexible (in terms of curling it up into tighter spaces), but after that the upside is limited. Their flexibility means you can get away with a shorter hose than a traditional rubber hose, but to be honest, if you do not travel a lot, I am not sure that the combined upsides are worth the additional cost.
The downside is that if you have a regulator with a swivel feature on the hose, you lose that (Miflex hoses do not contain swivels). Arguably their flexibility makes it redundant, but it is still a bit annoying.
One other minor plus side: you don't need hose protectors, because the braiding does not fatigue the way that traditional rubber hoses do.

This is an extremely flexible, comfortable hose! I purchased the 84" (7 ft.) version to use as my long hose on a "Hogarthian" rig. It is much more comfortable and easier to use than standard stiff hoses!

I purchased this hose for myself and my wife for a dive trip over Thankgiving. I have nothing but good things to say. By the end of our week diving everyone who was on our boat and a few others were going out to buy these hoses. I can not wait until they have the high presure hose out so I can complete my system with the flex hose.

On my primary - it relieved jaw stress and the flexibility really helped it stay in my mouth with out a flex joint attached to my reg. Super light weight
LP is always great - I have yet to have any issues and I shop often. :)
