I don't even have to write my own review, the previous purchaser summed it up: "Like the other reviews have stated this is a do it yourself module. I think there is no manual for this thing because it simply does not function. I have tried all the downloads and patches at the Mares website and it still won't work. I don't know what else to do. Mares tech support have also been non-existent is helping to solve this problem." Ditto on all counts -- just completely locks up when I try to use it on my Windows 7.

The cable works, I cannot say the same for the dreadful DRAK software that came with the cable. Perhaps others have have a better experience, but you literally get NO no instructions on how to use the software. When I say that there isn't a manual, I'm not just talking about a printed booklet either. There isn't even a help file associated with the program.
Once I managed to figure out how to move the dives to my PC, I couldn't get the data to display despite having confirmation of the transfer.
When I found no manual on the MARES website, I contacted TECH support. I got a reply in broken English that there was no software manual and all questions were answered in their FAQs. When I replied that I had problems getting the software to work, I got no further reply.
What a difference from ScubaPro or Sherwood's Customer Service. I don't think I'll be spending anymore money on MARES products again. Hopefully deleting and re-installing the sofeware will solve my dilemma.

Does what it should, but make sure you download the latest software from the web. The CD that comes with it wouldn't install on Windows 7 and is an old version.

Some of the air/gas features only work if computer is an integrated unit. These features could work with fillin info but Mares does not make that available. Love the computer, not crazy about the software. Recommend only because it is an add-on to the wrist computer!

You have to figure this one out on your own. User guide, (????) needs work. Program works, readout once printed is acceptable. Trying to figure out how to connect it and what pressure to use in that conection; Hmmmmmmmm have fun !!!! Have to recommend this if you purchase a PUCK and want to keep a computer generated log book.
