Comments about Innovative Scuba Qil Erasable Magnetic Slate:
This works for me. I do not use it very often, and I wanted something small enough to fit in my BCD pocket. The magnetic side could be better, and only allows 2-3 words max. I purchased it just to have a slate if I need it. Would not recommend for high usage, but for occasional usage it works fine.
Comments about Innovative Scuba Qil Erasable Magnetic Slate:
After being so excited about purchasing this product...was let down twice. I bought one and gave one to a friend. They worked great for the first week or so of diving and then we both had the same problem. The magnetic screen didn't clear well or write well.

I even wrote to the manufacturer and got no response. An instructor friend has used the same Quest for years. If you want an erasable go with the quest.
Comments about Innovative Scuba Qil Erasable Magnetic Slate:
over time the magnetic writing surface tends to stiffen and writing or erasing is very difficult or even impossible. the plain surface on the back isnt much better as the pencil barely takes to the surface. it's a terrible waste of money and i'm sorry I got it.
Comments about Innovative Scuba Qil Erasable Magnetic Slate:
YOu have to hold this erase-a-slate at just the right angle to write, otherwise the message doesn't take. You must open and rotate a cover, get the pencil out, write and re-insert it afterwards. Its use is also fairly mysterious to the person you are handing it to. And erasing is also problematic, once again must be done at just the right angle, etc. I wanted A small erasable slate that I could put in a BS pocket like a traditional slate, instead of the clunky jobs you hang off your BC; but this turned out to be very difficult to use.
