Comments about Blue Reef Blue Reef 3mm Neoprene Sock, Tall:

I bought these socks because my dive boots (Seasoft Stealth) are just a little large for me. I was afraid the next size down boots would be too small so I opted to keep the boots and add these Blue Reef neoprene socks. The combination of the boots and socks makes for a perfect fit that is actually quite a bit more comfy than the boots alone.

Worn under full foot fins
By JimVerified Purchaser from Central Ohio on 4/7/2009
Pros:
Functional
Cons:
Chain-stitched sole unrav, Poor Construction
Best Uses:
Cold Water
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Diver
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Blue Reef Blue Reef 3mm Neoprene Sock, Tall:

Sock is well glued and seams well stitched, but sole is glued and chain stitched. Thread started unraveling almost immediately...I hope the cement holds. I think forcing it into full foot fin caused the problem. Another type of stitch should fix the problem.

Comments about Blue Reef Blue Reef 3mm Neoprene Sock, Tall:

I used these socks inside my OTB Abyss boots on 4 recent dives in 38-40 degree water for 20 minutes at a time and had no issues with keeping my feet warm, however they seem to run a little small. I am glad I made the purchase.

Comments about Blue Reef Blue Reef 3mm Neoprene Sock, Tall:

These are great neoprene socks. Extremely comfortable and fit under my Pinnacle 7mm Merino-Barracuda Boots for even more warmth.
I wear a size 9 boot and bought the 6-7 socks. (I wear an 8-8.5 shoe but have very narrow feet)
Recommend these for anyone wanting some more mm between you and the cold water.

Not bad
By JayKo from Chicago, IL on 11/14/2008
Pros:
Easy To Use, Functional, Improves Diving Experience, Lightweight, Stylish
Cons:
Ankle loose
Best Uses:
Cold Water, Recreation, Warm Water
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Diver

Comments about Blue Reef Blue Reef 3mm Neoprene Sock, Tall:

The foot fits great into them, just like an athletic sock, however prior to purchasing them I read the reviews and it was mentioned that the ankle was tight. When I got them and tried them on, it seemed the opposite - the ankle was loose (more like a loose tennis shoe), but the rest of the sock fit great.
Either everyone else has cankles, I have really tiny ankles, or these are defective. Not sure. Otherwise, they'll probably be better suited to wear while playing sports on the sand (volleyball, soccer, etc) if you don't want your toes all cut up (or broken) as opposed to putting them on with fins.

Comments about Blue Reef Blue Reef 3mm Neoprene Sock, Tall:

I swim a mile almost every day. It is much easier to swim in a full foot fin than open heel fins. These socks cushion my feet and make the fins fit properly.

These socks are fantastic - but too thick to fit in my full-footed fins without causing foot cramps. I will wear them in wetsuit boots very happily, and walking on the beach.

Comments about Blue Reef Blue Reef 3mm Neoprene Sock, Tall:

I use these socks to just run around the house in. They are really comfortable and i would wear them snorkeling and probably will. If i were diving i would get the boots that come up past the ankle. I am also a size 10, but i ordered the 8-9 which fit perfectly. Overall good product.
