I bought this after reading about it, for use on my Oceanic GT3 CDX5 DVT second stage. It is noticeably and significantly more comfortable than the stock mouthpiece, which did fatigue my jaw.
It is superior to the sock regulator mouthpieces that come with rental gear that I used when training and on occasion. It is comfortable and easy to forget, with no unpleasant strain on the jaw after a dive.
For those who had it come loose, I can only imagine it was tightened badly. I recommend the Aqua Quick Release Mouthpiece Clamp to attach it to your reg.
I highly recommend this item for stress free, jaw-ache free diving, and it is a steal at the price.

This was a good fit that took a little getting used to. It's a different feeling than standard mouthpieces....but in a good way. It takes little effort to keep it in your mouth and is more secure than a standard mouthpiece.

I have always used a comfo-bite...over 2000 dives with them and i have never had one come off my reg, or suck water through them. They are super comfortable, easy to use. Dove the Caymans in September, and rented gear (never again...i missed my stuff) and I hated the mouthpieces. Very uncomfortable. I can only imagine that the few who had problems with them were user error.

Initial opinion was that it did improve overall comfort and reduce jaw fatigue. A weird side effect though for me was that it occasionally caused numbness to the roof of my mouth? This was caused by the molded part of the mouthpiece that slides behind your top teeth.
The REAL problem I had with this was at depth (85') when for no apparent reason (no pressure or strain on the hose) it came off my reg. Could have been a disaster as I was diving alone and in strong current but I went to my octo and made a safe ascent.
As others have stated the weakness is likely the groove or lip where the wire tie secures the mouthpiece. In my opinion, it doesn't secure it properly to your regulator.

I was looking for a replacement for my Mares Abyss regulator and decided to try this while I waited for a Mares replacement. Having tried this mouthpiece I'm no longer interested in going back to a Mares mouthpiece. This mouthpiece fits perfectly in my mouth and reduces jaw fatigue. I love it.

This is a great mouth piece.The four that I have purchased all have a good lip to attach the wire tie. Those inaccurate reviews originally disuaded me from buying this mouth piece when it was on sale [$] I'm sorry I waited based on those reviews.I now have them on my primary, AIR 2, and snorkel.

Bought this to use on my Decor regulator. It fits but provides no real indent to mount a zip tie. Attached best I could, but the mouthpiece came off...luckily 2 minutes into my safety stop. Tried this on my snorkel but that requires a custom mouthpiece so this has been added to my pile of useless items.

I have done hundreds of dives on this type of mouthpiece and it is by far the most comfortable that I have ever used.
The bridge between the bite tabs keeps the second stage secure in your mouth with a very light pressure. This is a big advantage on longer dives.
The silicone that they are made from is extremely soft, which is good and bad. Good in that the soft material is comfortable. Bad in that the soft material can tear easily.
If you are really hard on gear this may not be the best choice, but if you are looking for a really comfortable mouthpiece this is the one!

The Comfo-Bite mouthpiece is effortless to install and use. It is VERY comfortable. It lessens jaw fatigue on long dives. It is inexpensive and very durable. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Very, very nice. Finally replaced my old one after biting thru it after 100+ dives (tank was slipping; hanging on by my teeth, literally.). Gotta check it regularly tho; it doesn't have a good shoulder for the zip-tie to secure it to your reg. Might not fit all regs.

It works great, and provides a clear path for airflow via its setup. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect rating is because the clear material it is made of allows it to slide around in your mouth at depth a little bit. Overall, top notch and way better than the one that came with my Atomic regulator.

Really for snorkels not Scuba regs. Doesn't fit well on regs, tried three different regs with it...none worked.

I had a problem with jaw fatigue until a friend recommended this mouthpiece. I can't tell you what a difference it has made. Because it fits behind your teeth, it makes it easy to stretch your jaw while diving if you need to.

Was on a dive and it slipped off my primary second stage. The neck on it is very short - too short to properly attach with a tie strap. Really designed for a snokel. Very comfortable - but if you want one for your second stage, get the correct one from your dealer.

I love the comfo-bite. I have identical 2nd stages for primary and backup, one with the comfo-bite and one with a generic "long" mouthpiece. The comfo-bite lives up to its name; MUCH more comfortable, requires no effort to keep in your mouth (reducing jaw fatigue), and for a bungied backup, would make it much easier to get into your mouth (less pulling on the bungie to have the mouthpiece clear the chin). I'm replacing the regular mouthpiece immediately.

This mouthpiece lives up to it name "Comfo-Bite"... It is by far the most comfortable mouthpiece out there... There is no need to bite down on it AT ALL in order to keep it in place, and that is because of the extra piece along the roof of your mouth... You truly don't even know it's there...
I highly recommend this mouthpiece...

This came with my Aqua Lung Impulse 3 snorkel, Wow what a great snorkel! The best of thing about the snorkel was the comfo-bite mouthpiece this mouthpiece will stay in your mouth without biting down. Rely does the job well. I like how they come in two different sizes. I prefer the small size. The large was a little bulky.
