Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Stainless Steel Pro Fin Spring Strap - Pro Diver, Black:

Same thing happened to me as happened to Colin. I used these on one trip, 4 dives. Just packed them in my suitcase for my upcoming dive trip and thankfully I had to put more stuff in my bag, so I opened it up, to find the spring on one fin had broken in half. Completely useless after 4 dives. Luckily I saved the original buckle straps from the fins so I don't have to scramble before my trip, but I'm not happy with the poor quality of these things, nor am I happy thinking about what I would have done had it snapped in half on me while at 80 feet on a wall dive. Spring straps in general are fantastic, but these are poor quality.

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Stainless Steel Pro Fin Spring Strap - Pro Diver, Black:

This is my second pair of spring straps from Blue Reef. The first pair had plastic clips to attach to the fin, like the clips that came with my fins. The metal clips that now come with these straps do not do nearly as good a job. This is only an issue while putting on or taking off your fins, when there is no tension on the straps. While taking off my fins, one strap came completely free and sank to the bottom (thankfully it was a shore dive) and the other one came loose on one end. That said, they do a fine job of keeping your fins on. I ended up modifying them and retrofitting the original plastic clips that came with my fins.

These have a great construction, seem resistant. I ordered a small for my small fins, but use boots size 7 and these straps are too tight, probably better with a medium.

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Stainless Steel Pro Fin Spring Strap - Pro Diver, Black:

If you don't own this it's only because you haven't seen someone using them. I am in and out of the boat twice as fast as others because of these straps! They pull on and pull off with the greatest of ease.

This is a must have for any serious diver.

Works perfect on AquaLung Blades II Flex Open Heel Fins (search for UDRFB2F here). Quality rubber, good spring.

I used Size Large sprigs for XL/Giant size fins. My wife used size Small for Small fins. Perfect fit both times. I'd go with sise XL only if you have a bulky dry suit booties.

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Stainless Steel Pro Fin Spring Strap - Pro Diver, Black:

These took 5 minutes to install on my fins while on the dive boat. After spending the end of several dives hanging off ladders and fighting with my fin straps I decided to make my life easy and get a pair of these. They were well worth the money. I only regret buying the short size, they would have been more comfortable if longer.

After using these I will never use a buckle again! These make it very easy to get my fins on and off quickly both in and out of the water with one hand. I would buy one size smaller if I ever get a second set.

It might be this particular brand that I have a problem with but I don't like these straps at all. They don't feel secure on my feet plus they don't stay on my fins very well. Bottom line is that I don't use them.

Comments about Aqua Blue Reef Stainless Steel Pro Fin Spring Strap - Pro Diver, Black:

From the moment I installed these spring straps on my fins, I have been in fin strap heaven. They are MUCH stronger than rubber straps, easier to put on, hold my feet firmly in the fins, and are easier to remove after the dive.

I wear a drysuit and heavy boots, and these are easy to strech over my boots. They also have a backup wire in the middle to prevent over streching.

I really like the fact that they are NOT quick disconnect like some of the others. The connection point on these is very solid with no plastic parts at all. These will surely provide years of use and abuse(considering I dive 2-3 days per week that is a lot of use).

Order the size that matches your fin size and you should be good. Highly recommended!
