This 4' long signal tube can be easily stored in a regular BC pocket, and is small enough that there is no reason not to bring it on every dive. When the SMBis inflated it is long enough to be easily seen from a distance and sturdy enough to stand up to any weather conditions you may encounter.

inflating manually underwater does take practice but using an LP hose seems to work great!

It works! Never had one before but was told I need it for drift diving. I didn't see anyone else actually use one except the Dive Master. Had to watch him to see how to use it. I found it a little difficult to pull back the coupler on the low pressure hose and the fill valve at the same time, wonder if there is an easier way?

An important piece of safety equipment for any diver that needs to be seen if accidentally separated from the boat. Much larger and easier to see than a regular-sized sausage, but a little harder to stow as a result. Will not easily fit into pockets and has to be carried clipped outside the BC. Construction is somewehat thin in material, so unknown how well it will hold up with use. The plastic LP inflator valve is also of dubious utility, but the sausage can be easily inflated by manual inflation or using a 2nd stage under the lower pinched opening. A positive is it has a manual dump/overpressure valve that will not allow the sausage to burst if inflated at depth. A good piece of equipment for the cost, and much better than not having one at all.

Nice tube but there should be printing on both sides. The stupid people up here will more than likely bring there boat over to see what it is just like they do with my TWO dive flags.
