This product works great for equalizing pressure between tanks. My local dive shop does not have mod-j air, so when I do a internal vis inspection, I drain my tanks, but have no way to fill them without driving 1.5 hours to another shop or dive site. This way, I can inspect my tanks and at least equalize them without driving for a fill. Works great. Just know that the bleed valve isn't a traditional bleed valve with the twist knob. The bleed valve is integrated into the coupling. Different, but it works.

I bought this to be able to top off my pony from my other tanks. Also, after diving with students I'll typically have quite a bit of air left in a tank, but not enough to safely do a "fun" dive with.

This crossfill hose allows me to equalize a full tank with a half-full tank and end up with two usable tanks.

The inline pressure gauge is great to ensure you don't overfill an LP tank from an HP tank.

I use these to both equalize the air in two tanks that then can be used for a short second dive with a friend and also to fill a pony bottle - second air source when needed. Although you may not often need to do so, it is great to be able to when needed.

This is an acceptable device for the purpose, but it is poorly designed and should have conventional valves. I used it a few times then had one made up to my specs with more intuitive design, conventional valves, bleeds and gauge. We use these for recharging our Rapid Diver units from larger tanks. This saves paying each time for a small tank,(pony)refill. This kind of unit works great for that function.

IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE TANKS THIS IS A MUST HAVE PIECE OF KIT. FOR YEARS I HAVE TRANSFERED AIR WITH A SOLID BAR YOKE AND THIS IS SO MUCH EASIER.
