I've bought this product. But I was not sure if it would be of help or not. I was using the wrist strap that came with my camera housing. I've replaced the strap with this lanyard. It was incredible.. When I was using the strap there was the camera all around my arm and it was keeping me brace my arms properly. I am completely free with this item!! When I need it I'll just open the strain and I can extend the camera when I'm done I re attach it. IT does not take up some space and bothers me. I'll suggest it to everyone who carries a camera with them for the dive. It is incredible how this device nakes your dives more comfortable.

I borrowed a similar version to this during a commercial diving project, though it was only brass clip to brass clip, I found it hard to reclasp the plastic buckle, costing me a minute of time. I first dove this with 3 fingered mitts in Dutch Springs and I was impressed with the function of the buckle, as well as having a lanyard and split ring to work with, I used it on my folding spyderco knife with both the split ring and lanyard, then i reversed it and used it as a clip to my camera, an then light, most weight I put onto it was around 4lbs I imagine it can handle 8-10 no problem, I was skeptical of the rubber coil and being a cheaper than normal product, wish I had it before I tested my BCD knife without a lanyard. would of saved me 50$

This clip is very easy to attach to your SS ring on your shoulder and let your light sit in easy reach. It will also keep the light from hanging too low and bumping the bottom.

These are the easiest way to keep track of a piece of gear. It is close to you for just swimming, and on a longer tether for use. I carry 2 lights and a camera and all them are on one of these. The brass clip ensures it won't break at an important moment.

I use this for my camera and it works great for me. When the clip is connected it keeps my camera close to me so I know I won't loose it or have it bumping the reef. When unclipped it allows plenty of movement but also the knowledge that my camera is still attached to me.

I use the Quick Release on my pistol grip light when using my wreck reel allowing me to use both hands to guide the line and reel it in without always having to clip the light back onto my BCD.

I have several of these, and use them to clip lights, camera, slate and almost anything to my BC. I have one of these for every "thing" I need to hang. Good gear, and a great price when on sale.

I bought this to hold my flashlight and/or camera while diving. While the function and ease of use is great, it leaves somewhat to be desired when trying to have it not take up so much space on your BCD. It's probably best to use this on the bottom of your BCD, as anywhere on the chest or arm straps will leave it dangling over other valuable equipment, even when not extended. Excellent length, though, for what it is intended to be used for if you can deal with it being in the way if used up higher on the BCD.

I use this to secure my digital camera and primary light. The latch makes it easy to tuck away when not in use and the long coil does not interfere with normal use. Very high quality, would strongly recommend for tethering any heavy accessory.

I purchased two of these lanyards after I borrowed one from my dive buddy in Bonaire for a week to secure a dive light to my rig. I was hooked after the first use, no pun intended. I quickly replaced all of my existing conventional lanyards.

Two of the lanyards can be used to snap into each side of a camera harness as well. The quick release clip is well designed, easy to engage, and sturdily built. You cannot go wrong with this lanyard.

I now own two of these lanyards. I purchased the first for my primary dive light and it works flawlessly. I bought the second for my U/W camera. Numerous dives haven't broken either. Boat entries in the Keys in December can be interesting with 5-6ft waves. This product keeps your gear secured to you and easily accessed and re-secured while diving.

This is the best lanyard I have. Other lanyards have plastic clips that break. This one stays put until I move it. My primary dive light is always within easy reach.

I purchased this lanyard for my dive light. I used it to also keep a borrowed camera close at hand. Since I was barrowing a $700 camera, I didn't want to lay it on the bottom and forget it while I checked my dive console for bottom time left. If you value your bukier items, buy this lanyard. The coil stays out of your way while stowing your stuff away on your BC.

There are three main reasons I found this leash/lanyard great. First it is sturdy enough to handle even a large heavy camera even above water. Second, there are two attachment points, cord and a split ring. This ensures a good connection to the housing. Lastly it is just the right length to give you the freedom to function with the camera without feeling like a retractor.
This is perfect for heavy current use where there is risk of getting blown off a wreck.
Standard snap bolt also means that I can move this or even clip off to a line or hand off to buddy.

Got this for my Canon 400D in Ikelite housing. Now I can relax as I dive and my camera is next to me. The clip and extender are very functional. My only regret is that I didn't buy two!

Awesome lanyard! I use it for my underwater camera and actually keep a carabiner on the other side of my bcd in case i need tighter control. I even have this attached to my reel when i use it to carry around a dive flag. Works great, especially with a backup caribiner on your bcd just in case. I own two of these by the way, theyr'e great!

With two of these, you can attach any size housing securely to two D rings on either side of your BC / harness. For a small compact camera, one clip would be enough.

With it clipped up short, the housing hangs close to your belly, allowing you to be hands-free for descending / ascending a buoy-line in current, opening an SMB or any other two-handed task.

With the clip open, the stretchable coils allow you to use the housing in any position, but still knowing that, if you drop the housing, it is still attached to you and wont disappear into the depths.

The brass clips make it quick and easy to unattach the housing if you need to hand it up to the boat.

After two years and lots of use, my two lanyards are still in perfect condition.

I purchased this lanyard to carry my dive light and found it to be great. I tested it out on a 53' dive in 40 degree water and even with gloves on, the keeper clip released easily and the coil provided plenty of free movement. Wish I had bought this sooner!

This is a great lanyard with several attachments, and it is SUPER tough, but it's pretty darn bulky hangin' down there...have to use two clips to secure it to d-rings so that it doesn't flop down.

One of these on each arm of the camera and the camera can be clipped up tight to descents and ascents or in difficult situation and unclipped but still secure while diving and shooting.

I use this to attach my camera to my BC. The coil gives me plenty of slack to use the camera, and when I clip it together, it keeps it in tight. My only complaint is that the loop at the end wasn't big enough to completely loop around my camera flash arm, but the thicker part of the strap finishes the loop.
