Imagine a football quarterback having to fiddle around to reach into their pocket every time they need to call a play. Doesn't sound very practical or efficient with everything that's going on around them? We divers fiddle around unfastening our BCD pocket and fiddle around looking for our slates to write something down or to show someone a pre-written message all the time.

This small and compact 2.5"x 6.5" wrist mount slate with a 1" x 13" Velcro¦ Strap can eliminate that problem. Just like the quarterback all we need to do islook at our wrist to write a quick message, take a quick note or check the next skill we want our student to perform without the fiddling. Slate is equipped with a pencil tethered by a rubber tube to prevent lose. The slate is out of theway, yet real easy to find when you need it.

Usually these strap to the arm, but it was of such poor quality construction that this wasn't really possible. I definitely don't recommend this purchase. Go with more expensive models.

This was a perfect slate to put inside a BCD pocket. The velcro strap works great and has never given any problems. Awesome slate and can't beat the price.

I use this over nothing but the curved, articulated slates are much better. This one gets caught on everything since it sticks out where one's arm curves, (flat surface on curved arm).

The primary reason I bought this was for something to white balance my camera on! It's been good for that. Being able to write on it is just an added bonus. However if the primary reason I bought it was for writing, I would opt for something a bit bigger.
