It is expensive and time consuming to have your regulator cleaned for use with nitrox. Once normal air is mistakenly used with it you must for safety reasons have it cleaned and serviced. Don't let this happen to your nitrox dedicated equipment. Have nitrox hose protectors installed on all the hoses used exclusively for nitrox diving and there will not be a costly mistake made. Hose Protector is made of tough vinyl and ribbed for proper water drainage.

Maybe a bad lot, but I bought seven of them and not a single one of them will fit onto any of the hoses I have. I could not force them onto any hose by any means. I tried stretching them out, but still no dice. A complete waist of money.

This hose protector seems like most. Decent construction, no mold lines or rough edges, heavy-duty material. While I have yet to put it through a season of use, it looks like it will hold up well. I have one reservation, though. The printing on this appears to be simple screen printing, and doesn't look like it will last many dives. I could be wrong, but I would have prefered a good thermal print bonded to the base material.
