(as written in the Southern Boating review): "Digital Cameras and water don't mix. Aquapac's digital camera cases are completely waterproof and sand proof. The lens window is optically clear for crisp photos. The soft case is made of customized polymers that are bonded together using high frequency welding to keep the exterior flexible enough to snap shot after shot. The digital camera is further protected by the quick open/close Aquaclip which completely seals out water. Just twist the thumb latches closed for a secure seal. Plus, if you drop the camera overboard, it will float"

Comments about Aqua Pac Aquapac Waterproof Compact Camera Case, (Aqua-410):

I am not exactly a diver. I took this for my vacation to Bahamas to take pictures of my family in the pool and the ocean. My kids are small and they love to dive into the water and I always wanted to take good pictures of my kids in the water before they grew up and this was perfect! In the past I used dispoable film underwater cameras a few times but kids cannot stay still in the water so I could not quite get the picture I wanted. With my digital camera in this Aqua-pac, I can take pictures until I get the picture I want. The only downside of this is that it reduces the image quality a little bit. If you have some space apart between the lens and the case, reflection of light from the case gets into the picture and makes the image foggy. You should turn off the flash and try and press the case against the lens to minimize the space in between to get better image quality. It changes the color balance a little bit too but that can be adjusted using photo editing software.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend others who are not serious divers but want to take some pictures with fun activities in the water.
