Safety tubes are now a requirement for all divers. If you don't dive with a safety tube you need to start now. It makes sense to be safe. The Akona Safety Tube comes in a Hi-Viz yellow for easy identification, can be illuminated at night with the use of a dive light. Safety tube comes in a compact nylon carry bag which keeps your safety tube stored and latched until needed. The attachable snap clip makes carrying the bag simple and handy. Safety independently inflates with a mouthpiece to 40" tall with a 71/2" circumference making it easy to see from a distance.

You would drown in flat water trying to inflate, as there is only a small nub of a mouth piece that you have to pull out with your teeth.

I think this item is a bit overpriced and the advertisement is a bit misleading but I didn't expect a lot from this item.

Best as a back up safety tube -very compact.Tube too small, valve a little akward, but workable. Tiny piece of strap to secure inflated tube to anything - big wave, gust of wind easily could below it away before secured (if you have anything else to do besides cling to the tiny strap). I put a brass eye in strap so could be clipped to BC to whatever- but still doesn't 'cut it for night diving or situations with any real risk of being separated form boat and other divers.

Fits the bill for required surface signal device on charter dive boats. Compact and easy to store in BC pocket or attach to BC with included quick release clip. Yellow color is Highly visible. I recommend this product.

I would not waste your time with this safety tube. I tried two different ones and both did not hold air for more than an hour and it is extremely hard to inflate. The only plus was that it is very compact, but I would spend the extra $5 and get one of the other tubes that Leisure Pro sells - the new one I have is so much easier to inflate and durable.

This tube is extremely hard to inflate as the oral inflator is very difficult to pull out on land - can only imagine how hard it would be in water. I had ordered two of these on seperate occasions. The inflator piece was not included in the first order and on the second order, the tube had a slow leak so it only stayed inflated for about 15 minutes. Woudl recommend another company or option.

The tube is somewhat smaller than I had thought it would be and the valve is difficult to operate (even out of the water). I should have invested in a better model. It is still a necessary item if it better fits your budget. I purchased this one after an insident where our diveboat's anchor line parted in rough water 10 miles offshore while wreck diving. I won't go diving without it.

The Akona Safety Tube comes in a small package and provides excellant viz for the divemaster to see, definately a must have on any bouancy compensator going tropical.

Great storage bag. Very small and compact with superior clip to attach to BC. Valve somewhat difficult to operate. Great grommet for securing a line to mark a dive location. Live-aboard Capitan wanted "old" Akona so I gave it to him. These are replacements
