This case is a bit of an enigma to me. It's SUPER strong and versatile BUT it's a real pain in the rear to open. Exaggerating a bit but the latches can REALLY whack the fingers HARD. I have to be sorta careful opening these latches as they have a near explosive release. The case is also fairly heavy for its size.
Anyway, if you're looking for a SUPER strong case look no further. Just be aware that the latches might present a bit of a problem for you.

The Pelican 1504 case is a super rugged case that has a great capacity, and adjustable dividers. The case feels "solid" in your hand, the handle is comfortable and strong, with reinforced tabs for a padlock. This case is huge, and built like vault. The lid hinge has a stop that allows it to stay open with out you holding it, freeing your hands to pack and arrange. The latches function very smoothly, and snap securely closed. You won't regret purchasing this case, I bought mine for camera gear, and is far more worthwhile than a soft camera case.

I purchased the optional liner kit, it gives me the flexibility to arrange the inserts to suit my needs, a more expensive option than the 'pick & pluck' but better all round.
