The Otter Box is a patented dry box designed to handle full submersions--up to 100 feet! The solid color boxes provide nearly 100% UV protection. The main case seal ismade from a foamed silicone cord. The plastic used to make the colored Otter Boxes is an ABS plastic that's reinforced with fiberglass. The hinge pins are made from marine grade 316 Stainless Steel which is the standard choice for salt and freshwater applications.

The box itself is very good - practically indestructible and absolutely water tight, but there is not much room in it. You can fit a cell phone, or a set of car keys with a fob, but not both. It really does need to be just a little bit bigger to be of much use.

This is an inexpensive box that has more uses than I have time to write. I have used this for everything. It holds a Garmin Gecko 201 with 2 extra batteries perfectly. Great for holing emergency equipment for snow sports like a book of matches, whistle, signal mirror, small pocket knife and a flint and steel. I also use this for holding my hunting and fishing licenses and game tags. I have used this as a travel wallet while on boating/kayak trips,it is nice that it floats,is bright colored, is big enough for keys and your cash/credit cards. I really can not say enough about this box, I personally own three of them one hold my GPS and Survival Equipment as stated above. The other I keep just to have when I need a small box to keep stuff dry.
