I like this watch as it gives me depth, time and temperature without looking at my computer. The only con is the light isn't very good but I knew that when I purchased it.

Comments about Citizen Citizen MA9024-24E Promaster Hyper Aqualand Watch with Rubber Strap:

Its an excellent dive log watch. It is a solid performer and logs max depth, average depth, T:in and T:out average temp, dates of dives. Not sure how many it can log, but its a lot. And obviously, it logs the total dive time. Once out of the water it switches to "Surface Mode". Here it logs your intervals and counts down the 24 hrs before you can fly.

Its good. Its not flash or highly complex - but its GOOD. Its a solid and reliable tool to dive with. It can't compete in terms of functions with other Dive Computers - but thats because first and foremost, it is a watch, and in that respect, it is an elegant but manly, flash but not bling gentleman's watch. Its perfect.... Its also great to see it still made and unchanged for over 10 years. My instructor had one back in '97.

Comments about Citizen Citizen MA9024-24E Promaster Hyper Aqualand Watch with Rubber Strap:

I use this as a back up computer and to log my dives. Up load to my computer and print out dive log pages. The depth/time/temp graph that prints out is useful. I have to complain about the accent alarm. It is too sensitive.

Comments about Citizen Citizen MA9024-24E Promaster Hyper Aqualand Watch with Rubber Strap:

Good for the short term...however, once it needs a new battery you have to send it to Citizen. That is NOT a cheap undertaking. My watch is a wee bit over four years old, and it was sent back for battery replacement, they wanted to charge me 300 dollars for a battery, new o-rings, a new casing, not to mention shipping and handling. Why bother with all that? They basically wanted me to buy a new watch, I did, just NOT a citizen. In short, I would never recommend a Citizen product of any sort to anyone. For slightly more you can buy an ACTUAL dive computer that's the same size. I went with a Scubapro Xtender, and have no complaints whatsoever, even replaced the battery on my own with no problems and dives to 140 feet.

Comments about Citizen Citizen MA9024-24E Promaster Hyper Aqualand Watch with Rubber Strap:

I'm a public safety diver and 95% of my dives are in zero vis. The alert function when ascending to fast is a great feature, having the watch log my dives is also a nice benefit.

Comments about Citizen Citizen MA9024-24E Promaster Hyper Aqualand Watch with Rubber Strap:

This is a good simple watch. I use this watch as a backup to my Rebreather computers. If your computer fails you will know your depth and times so you can make a safe ascent. This watch does not track what mix youre breathing or tables so its great for any decompression algorithm. I would reccommend replacing the band with a continous strap so if a pin comes out, you dont loose it.

Comments about Citizen Citizen MA9024-24E Promaster Hyper Aqualand Watch with Rubber Strap:

I bought this watch for two purposes: as an everday watch and as a back-up dive watch. This watch fits the bill perfectly. It acurately logs each of my dives (up to 20 dives) with ave depth, max depth, temp of water, dive time, start of dive, finish of dive and suface interval. The depth display is as accurate as my Sunnto Dive computer. The watch is very stylish and I wear it almost everyday. The cons I would say that it is a little on the heavy side since it is stainless steel and the light function on the watch is severly lacking. Even out of the water in the darkness it is difficult to make out the time when the light button is depressed. Other than that, I would highly recommned this watch.

Comments about Citizen Citizen MA9024-24E Promaster Hyper Aqualand Watch with Rubber Strap:

Pro's:Very good divewatch, has all the basic info. that most average divers could need.
Con's: Not really an everyday watch so maybe a dive computer would be better suited to some, could probally find one cheaper too! Very sensitive ascent alarm. Backlight poor for night dive's. Downloadable dive info. software very basic.
In a nut shell, nice watch but make sure you get it for a good price!!

Comments about Citizen Citizen MA9024-24E Promaster Hyper Aqualand Watch with Rubber Strap:

This is a great watch by Citizen. It has a very classy look for everyday wear and the gold accents make it a nice dress watch at an affordable price. It is wonderful for use as a dive logging device. It is not a computer and should not be confused as one. A very sensitive rapid ascent warning can be rather annoying at times when simply moving your arm in the water column, but is very useful when actually ascending. Once you figure out how to download the information to your computer, which is one dive at a time, you have a great log of your dive activities.
