This is my second pathfinder. The only reason I had to replace my last one is that when I changed the batteries it didn't get sealed all the way and it got water inside. I like this one more because you can use any kind of band to replace it. The last one I had special order the band when it broke.

Has everything I was looking for in an everyday watch, plus compass and altitude read out. I had planned to use for scuba diving but it looks too good to chance it...things get banged up out there.
One draw back which is true for all "activity' type watches is that the bands are always too long...wish there was an option.

As a touring bicyclist with a small wrist, most alternatives were too large and the strap usually has to be modified. this worked for me. While the product book is 1/2" thick, much of it is due to multiple languages. That said, using all functions is complex. I needed the basics, multiple times easily adjusted for travel, auto adjust and solar battery so I can forget about those things, temp and altitude for rides, and compass for when I get turned around. Plus the usual alarm to get up! I found that making adjustments was more intuitive (who wants to read the book) than with many other, less capable watches. The full size Pathfinders were not even an option.

Great for the sportsman and amateur adventurer. Setting maintenance is require during use of some features. Due to the many features built into the watch learning to use all of them takes some studying and time to learn. Nowhere else have I ever seen so many tools packed into such a small and practical package. If you truely enjoy the outdoors this watch is for you!
