Comments about JBL JBL D7 Carbine Speargun (D-7):
The gun works great. My single complaint is that there is no place to attach a float line. I ended up replacing a screw in the handle with an eye bolt so I could clip my float line to the gun. Other than that, it is a superb gun. Easy to load, and the shaft is a bit heavier than similar guns, which I like.

Comments about JBL JBL D7 Carbine Speargun (D-7):
This is a great product is really acurrate and Lightweight I shoot a 4 lbr bass and the spear pass thru the other side but needs a lil more of rang for those large fish who dont let u get any closer than 12 feet but other than that is extreemly good product...I recommend a black silicone mask to stay more focused , do not use clear silicone mask because the sun reflect in the glas and u cant see well with the clear one...
Comments about JBL JBL D7 Carbine Speargun (D-7):
This product is good overall. It is a little difficult to use when wearing gloves becuase of the small space in front of trigger. Also a little difficult to load because it has no shoulder brace.

Basically identical to the old familiar Voit speargun - a workhorse and effective gun.

OK GUN but Needs a real line release. Just go ahead and pay a little more and get a JBL custom or a ab biller.

For the money you wont find a better gun! I have had mine for two years now and have taken fish from the wrecks of NC to the Florida Keys. The only problem is that there is no easy way to load it.

Comments about JBL JBL D7 Carbine Speargun (D-7):
im only a shore freediver/hunter. i didnt think the lack of line release would matter BUT it does.and theres no shock chord on the 4ft line they give u. its too much to fiddle with if your wearing thick gloves. the construction is what you would expect for [$] i suppose. there is no track for the shaft and the safety sucks. seriously just spend the extra money even if ur a beginner.
Comments about JBL JBL D7 Carbine Speargun (D-7):
Great gun for good price. Has good power for a smaller gun. Easy to handle around rocks and jetties. Hard to pull slings back with no stock however.

Comments about JBL JBL D7 Carbine Speargun (D-7):
used mostly when freediving in northern CA for shooting lingcod and rockfish. good range, quick and light in the water, easy to load. 12 foot range. has no hole for lanyard or anything so i added a velcro wrist strap to the handle and a bungee wrist lanyard so i can let go and handle a fish.
