Been looking for a while for a 38 special. my local shop could not come close to matching. this gun was made for close in hunting. One can hit a ling between the eyes and know it would penatrate. Great gathering too;

I'm a novice with the whole spearing thing, but I have to tell you that this gun is perfect. For the money, I couldn't find a better value. Was perfect for med to smaller fish, but still had plenty of power. The powerbands are pretty hard to load the first few times, but once you get used to it...no problem. Very satisfied at this point.

Develops a lot of power and is very quick. The power does present some problems in and around wreck structure, tends to actually penitrate thin and corroded metal. If used in really close quarters, recommend using a 2 sling.

I havent had a problem at all, although it is hard to load.
