The SL Star range of pneumatic spear guns has been in production for many years now, and they have won worldwide fame for their excellence in terms of robustness, reliability, precision and powerful shooting. The various models correspond to the equivalent models in the SL series, without power reducer. Constantly updated over the years, the SL Star spear guns are ultra light, easy to use, and fire quickly. They come with anatomical high grip butts enabling the gun to be held in line with the arm with no extra effort. The bright yellow butt means you can identify the gun even if it ends up on the sea-bottom after shooting. A strong line hook is situated on the bottom of the butt for shaft loading. The guns are fitted with a safety catch and, when the trigger is pulled, it frees the line releasing device. The SL Star spear guns come with an 8 mm threaded steel shaft. The SL Star spear guns come in three lengths: SL 40 (40 cm long) SL 55 (55 cm long) SL 70 (70 cm long)

I just recently bought this gun off leisure-Pro this summer and i love it. i mainly target Saltwater mullet inshore and i havent had but 2 problems and one of them was my fault. first i broke my string that came with it but only bc i shot a big sting ray(mistake). and second the sting holder at the bottom of the trigger broke off but it wasnt nothing to make a new one out of a plastic electrical box. but i do not recomend a recoil system string it takes to much away from your shooting power. good shooting and good luck

I love this gun. I use it in Wisconsin for carp and have been getting them up to about 20+ lb with no problems. The spear head that comes with the gun is well...cheap. I would get a new one as soon as you can from Leisurepro. But keep in mind you will need to get an adaptor for the shaft to fit a JBL head. The only problem that I have with this gun is that it is VERY hard to load under water. With that exception it works great.Go to this youtube video address to see this gun in action on a carp that I shot. Note: This is not an add for anything but simply a video showing this speargun in action. It will make you want to get one. [@]Get this gun and go harvest some large fish.Happy shooting.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub SL Star Spearguns:

The gun comes with a very low pnuematic load... so you will have to pump it up several times to get a good blast. However, once the gun is properly pumped to your needs it is accurate and deadly. Don't purchase this gun with out also buying a stainless spring steel shaft. The shaft that comes with the gun is low grade metal (cadmium?) and will break... fast. I shot my first fish with the gun and strung the fish. The shaft head went into a lobster pot and when I wrestled with it the tip broke off. I then purchased a spring steel hawaiian flopper shaft. Since then I've shot it into rocks, pilings and all sorts of structure behind the fish. It has been an awesome gun since. I recommend the gun but it is a must to buy a spring steel shaft to make it complete. One another note... I was spearfishing in December with the gun and for some reason the trigger kept sticking. My friends were all using pneumatics (different brands) that day and we all encountered the same problem of the sticking triggers. We surmised that pneumatics don't like extreme cold water. However, this gun killed dozens of fish over the summer and fall here in New England.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub SL Star Spearguns:

this product is great i love using since i bought it have shot basically every type of freshwater fish, but the only draw back is the string i would recommend buying a recoil system so when you fire you dont have to take the time and rebundle the string. also you typically lose the plastic push down handle i used a wristband and still lost it
