I bought this reel to dive a wreck where the visability 10 feet. It was easy to let out the line and easy to reel it back in. I bought the "#2 Swivel Brass Boat Snap, Like Dive Rite #1002" to attach to the end of the line and it worked great.

Used for deploying safety sausage/safety stops and UW searches/wreck penetrations. Requires modification to address issue releasing line while hanging on stop due to lack of alternative handhold - spring release actuation occurs when hanging. Tried fitting with drawer pull handle and formed tubing on clip side. Settled on clipping into 2" seine ring at snap attachment.

Overall performance is good. However, I would like to see the line pre-marked in 10 ft. increments. A slightly larger crank handle radius would also make it retrieve faster. Right now, it is a little slow to reel in.

Safety, Safety, Safety! I use this reel to deploy my safety Saugage from depth and just reel myself up to my safety stop. Watch the line when reeling in so it doesn't wind up all on one side.
