Great camera for my basic & simple needs - nothing fancy, takes good pics - no battery problem- lasts great so far!
Very good camera for the money. Feels solid and well built. I used a 2GB card with no problems. Use rechargeable batteries-they last a long time; alkaline batteries will only last about 15 minutes. It takes a while to get the hang of taking good pics, but it does the job. Also nice that the camera and housing are integrated- others on my last trip had problems with their other brands that had separate housings and leaked
very quick delivery and good customer service
get the flash add on
My camera unfortunately had to be sent back because of the flash capacitor. I got it back 3 weeks later and I have no complaints. I went to Cozumel and almost all of my pictures turned out great. I would say that this camera is a great deal!
So easy to use underwater, great wrist-strap. Not as bulky as the other cameras I saw while diving, it is like using a small digital camera on the surface. I wish it had a pointing system on top to line up shots, hard to use the screen preview underwater while chasing fish.
I have had alot of fun with this camera taking both stills and video. Quality is good enough for recreation. I like that I can change in and out of video/picture on fly. Takes 28 min video or 301 pictures with 1 gig card. Macro/close up is marginal and the view screen seems temperature sensitive and is hard to see in bright light. I am going to call about that. Beef up the leash, mine broke getting in the boat and fell on deck. Would be lost in ocean since camera sinks.

i am an experienced diver but a novice photographer. This camera takes great pics and its easy to use. I added the ext. flash for extra light and its perfect.
easy to use and nothing to lose
Camera is easy to use and after one use, I'm impressed with the picture quality. Ensure you have new batteries and extra batteries.
This camera is great with the rugged casing instead of plastic underwater housing. With experience, this camera can capture most of the sealife you see. It worked great at 100' depths as well as shallow. An exterior light will make this camera perfect.
always carry in your bc bring back more than memories
Not a bad submersible camera forthe diver who isn't ready to commit to the expense (and size) of serious underwater photo equipment. It's also good forboating and camping.
this is an easy to use camera for the first time user, it comes with nothing but an camera and is a good one for the click and shoot guys. Without the strobe tho it is very limited, to 30 ' depth or less. With the auto strobe it works well to any depth. but allways stay close to your image, function improves again with the addition of the wide angle lens.... all in all a good starter camers kinda like the old "Brownie" camera by kodak, way back when, for those that can remember that far back
The camera was easy to use. I added the wide-angle lens and the external flash. I did have problems with it, however. I lost my first day's pics as the camera had a pbm reading the card, and then stated there was a format pbm (even after the card was previously formatted). On another occasion, the camera wouldnt turn on or off; ie, it froze. I removed the batteries and reentered them into camera and it worked perfectly. Other than these two (mysterious) pbm.s I'd say this was a very nice camera.
takes good photos for a camera in this price range.
Poor lanyard design almost lost camera when clip came undone and camera sank 40' to bottom, camera is negative buoyant.

It is very simple to use but the batteries drain very fast you will get about 1 tank dive before switching out batteries I use a 2 GIG SD on it even though it says will only accept 1G pretty decent camera and shoots ok video to boot

I actually recorded a dive video with underwater audio of whale songs included. Outstanding!
easy to hang on neck for quick use
This camera surpassed our expectations. We did read the previous reviews, and found them to be spot-on, but were still surprised with just how well this device worked. Excellent photos, on land as well as under water. Well constructed, well designed. We strongly suggest using the Energizer E2 for this camera; at this time, we've got over 400 shots on the first set of batteries, and the indicate still shows full power.
Prompt delivery, well packaged. A good mail-order experience.

Wanted an underwater camera that was easy to use with a good quality picture. This camera fits the bill perfectly without breaking the bank. Just returned from a trip to Belize where we used this camera for the first time with great results both above and below the surface. Other reviews stated that the wrist strap was inadequate, but we had no problem with it.

needed camera in 2 days for trip to florida and leisurepro came through with flying colors..however after the trip and a number of really good shots our entire trip was lost to software problems, which I later resovled by using computer software..best advise, get camera, toss included software and go from there...
This is a great camera. I use it to help document my dives and preserve memories will quality photographs. The photos are surpisingly clear and it is very easy to use. The close-up function and underwater mode work prefectly. It takes pretty good land pictures as well, but the underwater ones are better.
I have never had it leak or malfuntion underwater. I've also dropped it dozens of times without it breaking, so the shockproofing worked.
the camera fits easily in a BCD pocket, and the lnyard is long enough where you don't need to unclip it each time you take a picture. Great camera.

I used the camera out of the box without additional flashes or accessories. Be sure and use "sea" mode when taking pictures underwater and set the flash to "auto". I was very happy with results, best to get close to subject 18" to 36". I plan on buying the wide angle lens for my next trip to capture more of the subject. Avoid zooming underwater, pictures lose color and become grainy.

Easy to use, takes great pictures and videos. Bought another so now, we have his and hers. No more fighting over it. Was the envy by others on the dive boat.

Just bought this for spring break 3-2008 in cozumel diving ..great pics below and on land... great camera .. a little on the heavy side but not real noticable.. took on 2 dives and the batteries lasted for both dives.... color seems to be great.....love this camera and would highy reccommend
I use this for snorkeling and it does what I expected. Not the best quality prints but very durable and easy to use. I would suggest a waterproof case rather than the cloth case that came with the camera. Overall good camera.
I'm not sure if it's because I'm trying to do too much with the camera, or if it's just not a very good camera, but the photo quality was poor on first couple of dives with it. With other cameras I've owned, I've always had good success going as manual as I can when diving. This camera seems to be either be out of focus (it's a fixed focus camera), or the exposure is so long that the pictures are blurry. Either way they are not very good. The photos tend to be pixelated as well. I'm going to try the sea mode next time I use it and see if that works better than manually setting the white balance and having the flash off. It also has a voracious appetite for batteries. Fresh alkalines do not last through a 2-tank dive even if the flash is off the entire time and the camera is powered down between dives. SeaLife recommends that you do NOT change batteries on the boat, so this is a bad thing.
If I can update this review after further use, I will.
LeisurePro's service and delivery were excellent!! Price was great too. I will definitely use LeisurePro again even if I don't end up liking the camera.

A fantastic camera for the price...took it to a live-aboard in the Bahamas and to the Dom Republic and took really good pics with it, both above and below the surface. The internal flash is not enough light if you go deep...pics turn out kind of blue, but with an external flash they would be super. This little cameral has great potential!!

First time to take photos while diving and I'm not much of a photographer usually. This camera took awesome photos. If set right, minimal backscatter.Get strobe so you get the colours as we didn't have it and most photos are green/blue shades. You would be hard pressed to find issues with this camera as a newcomer to u/w photograpy.
Timely delivery

We purchased the camera for our first diving trip (in St. Martin). It was extremely easy to set up and use (no instructions needed). It appears quite durable because we definitely banged it around a few times. We actually brought another camera for "dry" pictures; however, we actually broke that one on New Years (by dropping it ONCE). This forced us to use SeaLife SL320 for all of our other vacation pictures, too. All of the pictures came out great - underwater as well as above.
There are a few things that I'd like to see in the next version of this camera: Less time in between taking pictures and a bigger LCD screen.
Delivery was prompt and product was in new condition. We decided to purchase a camera last minute before the trip. LeisurePro was more than willing to accomodate our need in rushing the order and shipment. I spoke to a very helpful customer service rep over the phone and the Email communiation was great, too.
I recently took this camera on 5 dives in the Florida Keys, all fairly shallow at 25-30ft. The photo quality was very good overall. The camera's "Sea" exposure setting digitally compensates for some of the loss of red at depth resulting in more natural color - a definite plus. The camera didn't need the built-in flash for most of my shots on the auto setting and the photos still remained well lit. The buttons are easy to manipulate without gloves on. I would avoid this camera if you plan to use it mostly above the water. Land-based photos were okay, but not as good as it's underwater performance. The camera exceeded my expections for its video capabilities. Although the manual indicates 320x240 video @ 24fps, it actually shoots video at 30fps (Sony Motion JPEG). The video was smooth and it's quality up there with its photos. The built-in mic is a nice touch too so you can hear lots of bubbles and regulator breaths. I would reccommend this camera just for its video capabilities alone. Lastly, the flimsy lanyard issue that many other people write about may have been addressed. The lanyard included with my camera was plenty strong (I tugged at it vigorously before getting in the water - no problems). This is a solid performer and a great camera for the recreational diver who just wants some decent underwater snapshots, but even better if you want some video clips too.

I have not had the opportunity yet to use my new camera in the water. I am really looking forward to my next dive trip. I have, however, taken several test pictures to get acquainted with my new camera and I am very pleased with this purchase.

Not a bad camera for the $$$. My wife and I used this camera last weekend for the first time. The camera takes decent shots above, and below the water. I had read about the cheap lanyard that came with the camera so when placing our order we ordered one. After receiving the camera we are glad we ordered this. The water were we dove was churned up, so many pics didn't turn out. However the majority of our pics were spot on. For the price it can't be beat.
Images shared by: Jay & TaraGreat easy to use and learn camera. I am buying my 2nd one because the 1st one was lost due to the flimsy thread-like lanyard. Lost a whole dive trip to fiji worth of pictures on the 1gb card-darn!Really hope they have reinforced the lanyard-it only took a 8 inch unsupported drop while on my wrist to snap the lanyard.
My 13 year old filled an entire memory card 5 days into our dive trip to Salt Cay. The majority of her pix turned out crisp. Obviously closer is best, but even her shots 20 feet out were enjoyable(spotted eagle ray). I'm looking forward to adding the external flash for our next trip. The small display screen made deleting "risky". I didn't want to delete what I couldn't see. Once we got near a computer, that was where the quality of the picture was proven. I love this camera. I wish I could paste a picture to this site. Great quality photos for an ametuer.
if you kwow how to play a game boy? this is a great device. things that are great. is then you want. to take a picture with every thing under water. things that aren so great about it is then you dont wanth is to turn it off.
It's a little slow to acquire an image, and the flash causes lots of backscatter. Still it was fine in clear water during daylight. It is NOT neutrally buoyant, so you will need to tether it and may have to grab a bit to find where it dangling.
This is my first underwater camera and it really improved my diving experience. It is so easy to use that you don't have to fidget when you see a sea turtle and just raring to take that memorable shot! It takes nice photos and videoclips. Photos you could be proud of and show off to your friends. I was simply amazed with my first pictures which came out exactly the opposite of what I thought of; that they might be blurred and unfocused. Any non-pro can get really award winning shots with this great little camera!

This is an excellent camera and it is a shame that SeaLife does not replace the lanyard before too many cameras end up on the floor of the ocean.

It's so easy to dive with. This is my third underwater camera and, so far, my favorite. My last camera was so positively buoyant I had to attach an ankle weight to it to keep it from pulling my hand over my head while I dove. The viewer is bright enough to see clearly underwater and it fits neatly on my BC waist strap in a very nice neoprene case.

Takes great pictures, controls a little hard to see underwater but overall a great camera
using the camera for the first time i had 6 dives of pictures on it. on the 7th dive i pulled the camera out of my bcd pocket (like i had all the other dives) and somehow the battery cover opened and flooded the camera. it's ruined.
lesson learned. don't put the camera in a pocket and always upload the pictures after EVERY dive. i lost all my pictures.
i liked the camera so much i will be buying it again and hope this doesn't happen again.

Great camera for those who want to try underwater photography without investing too much money but getting quality pictures. No extra housing costs or maintenance. Just put the batteries in and you are ready to go. I recommend this camera to many of my students if they show an interest in photography but hesitate when it comes to price.
been diving at 15' and at 80'.colour was great on pics.easy to operate.no frills just a great camera
This is my first underwater camera. I think it will be the last I was very surprised how the pics came out when I got back from Jamacia. This camera also takes super cool videos/and its a very in-expence item.
I have taken many UW pictures with this camera, and was pleasently surprised with how they turned out. The first outing with this camera was in a quarry in North Carolina, with vis at about 7 feet. The pictures came out clean and clear. I could not ask for more out of an inexpensive camera.

Great camera above and below for the price. Zoom image on camera's screen gets fuzzy as you zoom-in on something, but turns out just fine. Very happy with the purchase!

This is my first u/w camera - I've been relying on friends to take photos u/w prior to this. But when I saw the ad for this little camera I thought I'd give it a try. Well I was quite pleased - the small size is great, and the photo quality is excellent. The only "bad" thing is that for really good pix you need the external flash. Also note that I've used this camera to take pix above water and they are EXCELLENT. So I'd say its definitely a good deal.
The great thing about the camera is it has no housing so the whole thing itself is the camera. It is also small enough to fit into your pocket and includes a digital pink filter. Its great for vacation but if you want to have a professional picture, you'll still need a strobe for the camera.
Allows those of us with limited dry land photography skills to take great clear pictures underwater.

This thing was small, fit into the BC pocket, and is negative underwater. The whole unit itself is the camera with the no hassle of the housing.
I bought this camera for my daughter. She was just certified last month. She went to the Cayman Islands with her husband on their honeymoon and took the most amazing pictures. My husband has a Nikon camera with a huge housing and his pictures aren’t as good as hers. I was amazed at the quality photos she was able to take with this simple point and shoot. We are very pleased.
On my first dive with the mini it preformed well to 25'. Pics were excellent and had no problems. On the second dive 2 days later, it flooded at 15' and was unrecoverable. I called SeaLife who asked me to send them the camera and if it passed their tests, they would replace it. If it didn't then I was S.O.L. As I expected, they claim it was my fault! Supposedly I jumped in the water with the hatch open, but this is just not true. SeaLife is a ripoff!
