Comments about Sealife SeaLife DC1000 Reefmaster 10.1MP Underwater Digital Camera:

Heard good things about sealife system so I thought I would give it a try. I was afraid of using a U/W housing with my more expensive camera. When I received the camera the housing seemed to be build well, but I was not impressed with the camera it's self. The pictures on land seemed dark even in sunlight. Although it did have cool color correction functions. Right before I was going to take the camera on my first dive it fell on the boat deck when I stood. The metal D ring came disconnected from the housing, with no way to reattach it. I am glad it happened on the boat, if not I would be out [$]. If you buy the external flash with this camera you could hook your lanyard to it and forget the D ring. I did see the sea & sea D ring system and it is molded to the housing it's self, so I don't think you would run into this problem. I elected to try the Ikelite housing seems to be great quality, and can't wait to take it out.

Comments about Sealife SeaLife DC1000 Reefmaster 10.1MP Underwater Digital Camera:

This is simply a great camera. I have gotten some great shots with this camera. Before writing this review I have dove with this camera about 50 times. The different underwater settings make for some great pictures and when I feel lazy and stay out of manual mode the auto mode is excellent and also produces some great pictures. Even topside the pictures come out awesome. Great camera and even better for the price. Only one drawback I have on the camera. At deep depths the shutter button does stick sometimes. But overall this is an excellent camera. I would buy and recommend over any other camera I have seen. My dive buddies are always envious of my pictures! I will take this camera with me diving before any other piece of dive gear I own!

Just wanted to comment on the previous review statiung that you cannot change between video and still underwater, not true. While in the underwater modes you can toggle between pictures, review and video all by pressing the DISP button.
