The 8000G camera has a built-in wide lens with a focal distance equivalent to 28mm on a 35mm camera. Adding the optional wide angle conversion lens expands the angle of view to the equivalent of 17mm on a 35mm camera.

Very good quality wide angle lens. I love the locking lug as it provides for sure fit and security when both on the camera and in the holder.

It's everything it was described to be. I really like the lug locking system over my old slide on style, which always fell off when I didn't need it too. This one is rock solid whether on the lens or in its holder.

If you are shooting without one. Get one immediately. The wide angle lens adds a whole new dimension to your photography. Highly recommend.Only Con would be sea and sea to my knowledge dont make a colour filter that fits externally to this lens, however you can buy magic filters that can go inside the housing and work well with wide angle lens.
