You need to add some black tape or something to block out external light. It worked great in the house when testing but the flash wouldn't fire the first time I actually tried it in the water. Sunlight prevented it from working properly during the day however it worked fine at night. Works fine wrapped with electrical tape.

Make sure the fiber optic cable is inserted in the sensor on the strobe correctly. First installed wrong and would not flash. Best to check before intended use.

I used this cable to assure my external flash would work with my newly aquired camera enclosure and it worked great! It is not as fragile as it looks, it stood up to some pretty rigorous diving conditions. If your having any trouble at all with a slave type flash, this is the sure cure!
