Comments about EPOQUE Epoque EHS-1000 HD Underwater Housing For Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 Digital Movie Camera:

At first I wasn't sure if I should buy it or not, after reading the negative reviews about leaking and flooding the camcorder but these issues were associated with the older model made before September 2008,before Epoque made some improvements to this housing to make the camcorder fit properly inside the housing to avoid the flooding .
I'm very happy with my purchase .Lets face it. This is the best HD setup for underwater photo/video without spending whole lot of money!

Comments about EPOQUE Epoque EHS-1000 HD Underwater Housing For Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 Digital Movie Camera:

This is a great product that fits 3 different cameras. buying th camera online and the housing gave me a full HD video setup for under 800 dollars!! you cant beat that. as with any photo equipment you have to keep the oring and oring track CLEAN! and you should never force the case closed. If in doubt ask some one experienced with uw photo to give you advice. Buy this and you will not be disappointed

Comments about EPOQUE Epoque EHS-1000 HD Underwater Housing For Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 Digital Movie Camera:

- Great care must be taken when placing a Sanyo Xacti HD1000 inside Epoque's housing, otherwise the housing's lid might actually NOT be properly closed, even though all clamps are shut!
- Despite its relatively compact size, the Epoque EHS-1000HD is rather bulky and very uncomfortable to hold.
- Fitted with a WAL this housing becomes very front-heavy.
- Inside the housing, the HD1000's auto-focus becomes very noisy, rendering any underwater tone almost useless (unless you shoot in locked focus mode).
- Epoque's screw-on WAL is a pain to remove & replace underwater.
