I think you get a lot of light in this tiny package when compared to the older, heavier and bulkier models. I also like the attachment that allows me to carry it on the mask straps.

I lost the same light and needed to replace it, as I really liked the light, I found no reason to try a different one. I don;t think you can get a better light for the price.

I have never had a UK light flood, unlike Pelicon or Princeton Tec, I use this light as a BU light for cave or wreck diving, very reliable and compact, 2 watt led provides a decent beam, I rig light with a bolt snap and carry in pocket or wear on BP harness secured with inner tubing.

It is great as a backup, the beam is narrow but very powerful, enough to point out certain things underwater that a wide beam light cannot. You can even mount it to your mask straps for hands-free use. Highly recommended.

This thing packs a lot of punch for its size, the beam is quite narrow but it delivers plenty of light, used it on a night dive as my only lamp and it was just great...

It turned off when I was at about 7meters below the surface, I guess that the pressure was keeping it on when I was deeper... I thought that it drowned... but I tightened the cap and voilá!.

I wish it had a on/off switch like the bigger/more expensive SL4.

It didn't come with the standard lanyard, instead it came with a mask strap, but I made a lanyard with a piece of string, a "barre-lok" fastener and a piece of clear water hose.

I'm thinking of getting the turtle pack bundle from UK... it brings everything at a very great price.

The first time I turned on this light, I was floored as to how bright it was. I can't believe something so small can be so bright. So much so that it may very well be my primary light. It comes with a strap that you can strap it to your mask for handfree usage. I can't wait till the weather warms up so I can hit the water and put this to use.

This light is small and lightweight, but it packs a huge punch. I use it on night dives and it is brighter and has better color than most of those heavy bulky lights. Great value for the price.

Great little light. Use it mostly for daytime diving looking in cracks and under stuff. Great backup for night diving. Very pleased with light.

When Q40 introduced I bought three of them. I loved the idea to have continuously a light wherever you look on.
Then Underwater Kinetics introduced the eLed plus and I bought one of these Just to check it.There was no comparison between the two except the casing.As result I sold my Three previews Q40.

Easily fits in the bcd pocket. Very white beam - good spotter for photography. Not as tight a beam as I expected, but overall a good torch.

I used this light on a night snorkel off Ambergris Caye, Belize Jan 09. It worked great. Compact size and bright light but not bright enough to scare off octopus, cardinal fish and sleeping parrotfish. It worked well on a dive off the reef too. Also a great light for camping, deer hunting, turkey hunting, etc. A great price!

This is a great light if you need a lightweight light or a quality backup. This is on of the lights most other lights in this price segment are compared to. I don't think you will be disappointed with this light in reasonable circumstances.

I also own the mini Q40(non LED) and got the led for my wife. The LED is easily twice as bright.

This is a very good backup light that fits in my bc's pocket. compact and bright. I took it to Hawai and it worked well. I saw two kinds of eals and the color were great.

i had a problem getting the O-ring in place at the beginning. After a little trial and error, it now seats everytime.

This is an excellent, reliable backup light. The LED provides good illumination and long battery life, the shape of the entire unit allows you to hold it and a reel in one hand, and the simplicity of its design lessens the chance of a malfunction under water.

I believe I've tried every every generation of UK's LED lights and this is most remarkable - the eLED Plus is worth the difference over the older Q40's. In addition to the advertised battery life and reliable LED, this light puts out a remarkably intense narrow beam. Not recommended as a general use light here in chilly and often dark Puget Sound but a solid back-up and now my warm water favorite to carefully explore the dark nooks and crannies of a healthy reef.

Haven't had a chance to use it on the reefs yet, but does very well in a dim room - light is very "true" white color.

Great as a backup light, get the SL4 eLED light as your primary. Both are super durable and the LED bulb will last a while.

Have not had a chance to use this product in the water yet, but it is extremely bright for such a small light. Very true "white" light as well, feels very sturdy, fits in my bc pocket, and turns on/off easily. Battery changes are quick and easy. Will be very good for looking under ledges and into Moray dens!

This is a decent backup light. Only issue I have is that sometimes the pressure underwater will turn the light on by itself, meaning it is twisted far enough on the surface to be off, but under water at depth it just turns on. This could lead to battery drain if you do a lot of diving with it in your bc pocket and don't realize it has been on on every dive. This can be prevented if you twist it an extra turn in the off direction at the surface. After using this light for a few dives I switched over to the intova torch. It is brighter and alows me to look further into cracks and crevices for fish and lobster.

Needs an on/off push button as opposed to twisting the head. If you twist it just a bit too much, you have water in the battery compartment.

Great light. this one is bright and small in size. I never tried the original one but the eLED Plus is very nice to have either for packing your gear in the dark or night diving gear up. Not expasive to have either. A must have.

I think this product was great! It was well priced and gave me a volume of light. I use this light for diving and as great tool around the job site. The plastic seems a little hard, so I wouldn't go dropping it. I have had 4 people comment on how great it was the first night I used it at work.

Great light. Small, batteries last forever. Very bright. Nice to use as fill light for close up photos as it can be clipped to mask, camera or wrist very easily. I love this light as it takes up almost no room in my kit or in my BC pocket. I have 3 of these now.

Perfect backup light. Stores easily in any pocket. Enough light to do a night dive with (but note the beam is narrow - may not suit some night divers).

For the money this is the best backup light in my opinion. AA batteries are a plus and it works well on the mask too for night dives. I keep one of these clipped to my harness permanently.

The only negative is that there is nothing at the back to tie a boltsnap to - I had to improvise. The bulb did break once for no reason, but Underwater Kinetics sent me a new one right away (no charge).

I'm a Southern California Diver who loves to dive at night. Weather bug hunting, spear fishing for halibut, or just looking for different types of night creatures, I don't get into the water without at least one Q40 eLED strapped to my mask. I leave it on through-out my dive so when I need to drop my primary, I have a dependable light source I can count on. Inexpensive too. Surprisingly bright! Strap on two and you could practically dive without a primary, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I just keep this in my BCD pocket. It is the perfect size for that. I have not used on a night dive, but have used numerous times in the daylight. Very bright beam. Perfect for looking in coral holes, and under ledges for hard to find sealife.
