I really love this light, the only thing I might want to see improved on this light is its beam focus, but then again for night diving the broader diffused bean is a plus.

I like this light, but I wish it had the concentrated beam of an HID. But this light uses no where near as much battery life, and the long lasting bulb life of LED technology, to me, far outweigh the benefits of HID.

LED is great for night because of the diffused and even light pattern. This light performs well, but glad for the lifetime warranty...have had two die in 18 months, but both were replaced.

The only light I have seen that is better was my night diver course trainers light. He paid $1400 for his. It was like following a car below water. If you dont want to pay that amount this is the way to go. I was able to see great in low visibility.

This light is far better than any conventional light. The advanced LED system provides a broad, white UW spot the is bright enough to illuminate a large area & yet is not too bright so as to introduce discomfort to the nocturnal sea life. The light has a hi & low power setting so that output can be tailored to the situation.

An outer black plastic knob in centre of the front lens causes beam dispersion.
Same knob also unbalances the torch if happens to be placed lens down.

In the past I had always rented and this light is far superior to anything else I've used. The only problem was my own inexperience in not compensating for the weight of the light. Will not be a problem on my next night dive.

Great light, the spread of the beam is wide suits me perfectly for underwater photography. Sure 8x C cells are heavy, but I've gotten used to it now and for the price it's a bargain.

I recently used this dive light for my dive trip and found it to be an exceptionally bright light for night diving (tropical) even with LED technology. It is compact and efficient, both features which I like a lot. The only qualm I have with it is how the handle fits onto the main body of the light -- via a screw which tightens against the main plastic body. I noticed that this causes scratches and dents in the plastic body, which I was not too happy with. I would have preferred a small metallic divet in the main body into which the screw fits into and does not damage the external plastic housing. Hopefully, this can be alleviated with some nylon tip stainless steel screws.

Bought two of these lights for myself and my wife, after considering another brand that is very similar. We did a recent trip to Bonaire, and loved these lights. They were by far the brightest lights. Being that this was my second ever real night dive, I felt very comfortable due to the amount of light given. A nice, intense center with a very wide, nicely lit spread. To get the most out of the light you still needed to be fairly close to see nice full color, which is probably true for all lights. The further away from the reflector, everything was blue which is normal. However it softly lit up a very wide beam pattern that you could see details well. The light penetrates very well and spreads out nicely a good distance, giving you a good idea of what is around making me feel a lot more comfortable then on my previous night dive a year ago. Not as focused of a beam as one of the guys diving with me who had a HID but his also cost 3 times more. We dove for about one hour and there was no sign of the light output dropping. Did a night snorkel with my wife which was also about one hour and my light output was equal to hers, and her light had not been used yet.

Much brighter than our other C-8 lights. We were able to see marine life a good 30 feet away on a night dive. The pistol grip handle can be adjusted a bit, though there is a risk of damaging the housing if the adjusting screw is over-tightened. It has a little gadget the clips to the front of the lens to dissipate heat, keeping the lens cool. This is helpful if you need the light on the surface.

I brought along a buddies UK D8 halogen light for comparison... While on the surface the D8 was significantly brighter the yellow color light scattered under the water. The white light of the LED illuminated better and the size/weight were better too. We dove in pretty clear water only to about 40 feet, so I am interested too see how much better it will work in more murky water.

This light is both intense and reliable. I've used it on many night dives and in low visibility conditions. The beam is well-focused with no "bright spots" and the colors brought out are much truer than cheaper incandescent bulbs. The only probelm I have is with the poor placement of the locking trigger mechanism. The lock feels flimsy and is on the bottom of the trigger (it slides down to allow you to use the high or low beam). Even with this problem, I strongly recommend using this light!

I needed something a bit brighter than my C4 LED light for night and day diving. I always dive with a light since it can get dark in the Pacific NW below 40 feet in the middle of the day due to algae blooms. This light IS brighter, but it's pretty useless (as is the C4 LED) in situations with a lot of ambient light. The light is not focused but rather a broad wide beam. Overall a great light, but due to its bulk, I often opt for a smaller light depending on what other equipment I'm carrying.

Very good all purpose light. Bright and very white (no yellowish tint). Been rugged and reliable thus far. Only complaint is the three-way switch mechanism that moves from low intensity beam to "off" to high intensity beam. It's a little difficult to manipulate with one hand. But otherwise, a good buy.

overall this was a really good light. when it is compared to the "sunlight" versions of the UK lights, there is a noticable difference in how things appear underwater. But for the price, this one is really a good deal.

I was thinking of buying a Light canon from UK but the bulbs are known to be fragile and expensive... so I picked this light up. One word, GREAT! Good color lots of light spread over a wide area and it's just about bomb proof. It last at least twice as long as any of my other dive lights.

I bought the C8 eLED Plus on the recommendation of my dive instructor who used one. I used it on a dive vacation to Cozumel this summer. Even though visibility is generally really good, the light was great for bringing out colors and looking into holes a crvices. So far I really like the light. It seems to be reliable, although I don't have enough experience with it yet to judge bulb life, etc. I do like the fact that it brings out truer colors with greater intensity than some other lights I've used.

I Dive In The Pacific Northwest Which Has Some of the Harshest & Darkest Diving Conditions Around. Truly a Dive Light Worth Praising For It's Reliability, High Intensity LED Bright Light, and Durability. I Use To Dive a HID Dive Light But Could Not Count On It...I Had To Cancel The Dive Several Times Because of Reliability. Now I Have a Light That Will Be There When I Need It The Most.
