The Aqua Sun eLED Dive Light brings LED performance to the maximum, underwater. To do this we take advantage of the fact that LEDs are most intense when kept cool. Two high intensity LEDs are attached to a heat sink which is in direct contact with the water through the front lens. This patented system cools the LEDs and allows them to burn almost twice as bright underwater. The white color of the LED light penetrates water better than light from conventional incandescent lamps allowing greater visibility underwater. In addition an electronic circuit monitors the LEDs and prevents overheating when used out of water and allows the selection of full power or battery saving mode. A unique reflector combines the beams of 2 LEDs into a single beam which is twice as bright. Even though the LEDs are extremely efficient in power usage, they exceed the capacity of disposable alkaline batteries and must be powered by a rechargeable battery pack. Light comes equipped with both Lantern and Pistol Grip Handles, and to protect your light when not in use a Pelican 1200 Hard Case Pick and Pluck Foam is unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical resistant and corrosion proof. These are some of the features of this Pelican Protector Case that offers total; protection for your equipment. It is made of Ultra High Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. Its exclusive 1/4" (6.4 mm) neoprene o-ring and ABS latches seal perfectly and includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. Your equipment can fit into the high density foam of the case for total subjection and protection against impact, vibration or shock

I am an experienced photographer and diver. I get the concept of O-ring care and maintainance... I really do.But I have now flooded 4 of these things. The first 1 or two were probably my fault. But the last one flooded within 5 minutes of it's first ever dive. I'm certain I did everything right. UK was kind enough to send me another one (no questions asked) but I have no use for it. It's either going to end up with my camping gear on on [...].Sigh, you get what you pay for. I'm in the market for a proper canister light now.

I bought this light hopeing I wouldn't be dissapointed because of the cost. A couple of the guys I dive with have light cannons and I wanted something as bright or brighter. Well, I took the Aqua Sun out for a dive tonight and let me tell you, it definately lives up to its name. Colors were great and it's medium angle beam is just right. I live in the Caribbean so I am using this light in warm water. I wish the battery had some type of indicator that lets you know when it's charged. The instructions say charge for 12 hours. Also, I think the way the handle mounts with a screw is a con. If one was to overtighten the screw I am almost positive the case will crack. But those are two simple things I am willing to live with. All in all it's a great light and I have no regrets about spending the money on it.

Great torch. Bright as the sun, excellent viewing and compact. Only thing i don't like is the 'charge until battery is warm' routine.

great Light, way brighter/smaller/lighter than the D8. It's a bit of a hassle to recharge it before every dive but it's nice to not have to buy batteries. Great light but very expensive.

Was hesitant to spent the money, have been very happy with the performance and reliability of my UK HID Light Canon. After the fist dive the eLED blow the HID light away! One of the best things is the light wavelength does not scare / startle fish. You can flood an aria with clean light and not disturb the sea life. Simply put my dive master buddy bought one after one dive barrowing my light! Only drawback is UK has not upgraded there batteries, I use the battery from my HID as a backup for multi day boat trips.

I recommend this light ! it is the most powerful light i ever owned. battery last 2 hours .the only negative is the battery charging process. you must wait until the battery to get warm to shut off. The battery should have a light to let us know when is fully charged.

This is a terrific light. I bought the Light Cannon back in 07 and was very impressed but this one blows it away. MUCH brighter and more reliable than the HID light with none of the switch or HID 'issues' that made the Light Cannon a pain. Fairly expensive but its rechargeable so I don't have to keep buying batteries. My only problem with it is the 2 hour burn time. Buy an extra battery pack.
