Sometimes greater light output is more important than ultimate battery life and for that Tektite offer the power of 19 LEDs. The Expedition 1900 is serious lighting with the same heavy-duty construction as all Tektites dive-rated lights. This 19 LED flashlight provides more light per watt than traditional flashlights, allowing 12+ hours at full power with an additional 40 hours of usable light on 3 C-cell batteries. Double O-ring seals give this waterproof light an underwater depth rating of 500 feet. Comes with an adjustable, cushioned wrist lanyard and rubber glare guard.

i've used this model for several years now. Three times i've sent the flashlight back to the manufacturer for warranty replacement due to flooding at depth, which they did with reasonable turnaround. This "twist to turn on" design has a single o-ring vs. two on competitor models, so that may have something to do with the flooding at depth. In any case, the latest replacement unit is holding up well. This light is bright enough for day/dusk/dawn diving. For night, i don't want to be lit up like a beacon, and this light is great as a backup or as a spotter light, although the beam isn't as narrowly focused as i'd prefer. To get a brighter light, you'd need to go with one of the bigger, heavier lights like the Light Cannon. For a 3-C cell unit, this is perhaps the best and brightest i've tried.

Large, bright LED torch. With 3 D-cells in linear alignment, this is a bit large for a aux lamp in every-day situations, but an excellent lamp for nite diving.
