Comments about OMS OMS 3w LED Vega Backup Light:
I use this light as both of my backups for cave diving. That should say enough. When doing primary light failure drills, this thing really impressed me. It's incredibly bright. Without doubt the brightest hand held backup I've seen, and impressed my cave diving buddies. Also with a good burn-time, though the CR123 batteries make this a backup due to their cost. The only other light I would buy is a Salvo Rat or Tillytec W30 for when I move to CCR(need a long burn-time for long underwater times!) but they are tons more $ than this and the Salvo isn't even as bright. I have not experienced any reliability problems, and it's got a double o-ring seal so don't worry about flooding it. Don't buy a cheap low performance light for backup, it's got to get you out in the worst case scenario.

I use the OMS Vega as a back-up light, fits perfect in my drysuit pocket and bright.

Light itself is very bright, lightweight, sits well in hand. Unfortunately spring required some work (was too long) because light switched on even before second o-ring went into the threading completely. I would expect better quality control from OMS. In general screw-on design is not very reliable, could easily switch on spontaneously at depth. I would never buy such design again and just keeping this light as a second backup.
