Comments about Intova Intova Wide Angle 4.7 Watt LED Torch:

I have used several lights and this is one of the best, for sure the smallest. The led light is fantastic for bringing out the colors at night and helping with night photography. This light is good enough to be a primary. The only downside is the battery isn't rechargeable. My buddy and I have both attached our lights to our BCD webbing. The holster only velcros shut though, so we also caribiner the loop handle to our bcds during day dives in case the velcro comes undone on the holster (my buddies has twice).

Comments about Intova Intova Wide Angle 4.7 Watt LED Torch:

I tested several LED torches for video use since they seem to give the best temperature color. Ran across this as a low cost alternative and was surprised by it's performance. I had to custom rig a ball joint and hose clamp to connect with the video housing, but very happy about the light this small torch kicks off relative to larger and more expensive units. The wide field makes it perfect for covering the entire video view (even though it's mounted within a foot of the housing)without leaving inner ring halos or uneven hot spots. So pleased with overall performance that I bought a 2nd that I use as a primary for nite dives, yet it's small enough to function as a pocket lite to carry at all times for digging in caves, cracks, etc durring the day. Does not provide the penetration depth of most primaries but the wide beam lights up the reef and brings out true colors. The penetration depth is still adequate though and it's an easy trade off because it performs like a 110v floodlight instead of a spot light. I always find others poaching off my light at nite because it opens up the field of view on a wall and is superior in finding criters. It does use a funky battery size that can be difficult to find in some countries, but the burn time is very long. I only needed 1 extra set of the light weight CR123 batteries for a 10 day trip to Sipadan shooting hours of video and dives every night.

Comments about Intova Intova Wide Angle 4.7 Watt LED Torch:

I am quite pleased with my Intova light. It is compact, easy to carry and is brighter than much larger lights I have used. This light is easy to manipulate even while wearing heavy 7mm gloves. The batteries are a bit expensive however their life is about seven hours of use versus two hours with my UK LED light.

Comments about Intova Intova Wide Angle 4.7 Watt LED Torch:

Just finished using these (acquired primarily for Cave Back-up use) on a few recreational night dives in Cozumel. They were easily the brightest of all the standard Xenon "C" and "D" lights with the group! Wide angle is great for the night dives, but also sufficient for signaling in caves.

Comments about Intova Intova Wide Angle 4.7 Watt LED Torch:

I had a 3.0 watt Intova that I really liked, but this one is much better. Brighter and slightly wider beam. The 3 watt was a little too tightly focused. I've had the 4.8 watt down to 6 atm a few times with no trouble. I made a bungy holder to strap it to my right wrist and I have a second one as a backup in my pocket. The double o-ring seals and the magnetic switch work great. I use rechargable CR123 batteries and charge them between each use.

Comments about Intova Intova Wide Angle 4.7 Watt LED Torch:

This compact light is super bright. But the type of battery type it requires is uncommon and can be expensive to use in long term. Good to be used as backup, but not primary light.

Comments about Intova Intova Wide Angle 4.7 Watt LED Torch:

I own a UK-C4 which was my primary light till recently, and a Intova 70 lumen torch (the silver one), as my back up. I bought this light and I have to say im impressed with this little light. In black water at night the wide angle has a slightly smaller over all beam then my previous primary, the UK-C4, becasue of the smaller head size, but over all the beam is larger. This light shows a majority of the total beam as the high intensity light, not just a focal point in the middle, as the C4 or the silver Intova does. This torch is great for lighting up a reefscape at night without carrying down a generator to power some of the monster lights I've seen. Its light weight, and does the job excellently, and from working with the Intova torch (the silver one) for a while as my back up, I can vouch for the sturdy design of this new beautiful light, since they are of very similar construction.
