I got this light to use as a tank marker for night dives. It's easy to see and bright, but not so bright that it becomes an annoyance. It's buoyant, so it's always floating right above the tank valve and easy to see. I did change the lanyard over to some cave line, as it seemed a little flimsy and I wanted something a litle longer, as the lanyard it comes with won't let it be attached to the tank valve stem while the regulator is in place. I only gave this a rating of four out of five as I don't know how long the battery lasts.

I have bought every model of tank light or stick light you can find. They all leak, batteries don't last or rust up on the first dive. Even the expensive ones you think because they are more $$$ will work or be cooler. Forget it. I bought 2 of these and am buying 3 more. You can put them anywhere and they always work. You can buy these and never need another marker light.

I've had this light for a couple of years now, probably done 10 or so night dives on the original batteries. On the most recent dive, the light flooded at some point during the dive. I only realized this at the end of the dive, when I noticed the still working light was full of water!

Some boat operators do not want divers to use flashing (strobe) tank markers, because their down lines have strobes. This manufacturer makes both flashing and constant-on lights.

I recently purchased 3 of these (green) prior to a night dive. I got one for myself and one each for my two sons. There were several other divers present all with different colored chem lights. These lights seemed to be burning brighter than all the rest. All of us having the same color made it very easy for me to keep up with my sons who were buddied up with other divers.During our night dive I could easily locate my sons by the color which was very visible. I highly recomend this product for night diving. The only con was one of the lights was hard to turn on and off but once on it worked flawlessly.

The lazer-stik is one of the best tank marker lights I have seen. Highly visible from a distance and runs a long time a a set of batteries. You deffinately need one if your doing night dives.
