A new four "AA" cell light doesn't sound exciting, but this is a very special application of Ikelite's easy-open / easy-close design.
The light's unique switch mechanism is allows for single handed operation. The "O" ring seals provide safe operation up to 300 feet.

I have used this on several dives and keep it in the side pocket of my BC. It makes a great backup light. The economical alkaline batteries can remain good for years if you use it infrequently. No leaks yet.

I use a light while lobster diving every year,we dive 6-8 times a day for about 4 days and the light comes in handy while searching for bugs!

This thing shines bright on common NiMH rechargeable batteries. My wife has carried one of these on her BC for more than 50 dives without problem. We just throw in a a freshly charged set of AA NiMH batteries for a night dive. They run the light more than 1 hour.

I dive in quarries sometimes, and the visibility is drastically reduced when cloudy. This light is useful on those days!

Not a bad light, but not one I would want to take into a cave or if items to be viewed are further than 8-10 ft away.
