Our newest and brightest non-rechargeable light is also the brightest of all the non-rechargeable 8 "D" cell lights on the market. It is also considerably brighter than 8 "C" cell lights with their smaller size reflectors.

The Super-9 RCD features a special new halogen lamp that produces an incredibly bright 14-watt penetrating medium spot beam. Batteries provide 4-6 hour of burn time.

The unique fail-safe quick-release RCD clamp is simple and provides easy opening and closing of the light. This system has been widely accepted as the most dependable choice for rental service. Unlike all other 8-cell lights, the RCD won't stick or crack.

Comments about Ikelite Ikelite Super-8 RCD Light (1220):

So, how much lead is on your belt?
Ya'll quit whining about the weight, just plan your dive right. Clip it off on an upper BC ring, and it's right at your hands reach, and its a darn sight more use-full than strapping a weight to the sternum strap on your BC to level you out! I've seen you guys do it.... now you know, that I know...

It's a good powerful torch. I like the flood-proof locking mechanism. It has a long battery life. Only problems are that the beam is a bit narrow and it is heavy

Comments about Ikelite Ikelite Super-8 RCD Light (1220):

This light is for illuminating the darkest dives. If your looking for a lite weight backup, this aint it! The powerful beam is great for caves and wrecks. Average beam distance is 40ft plus is murky Midwest waters.

It is heavy, but the well balanced handle makes it a breeze at depth to carry. The batteries last relatively long for such a powerful beam. Your not going to get anything brighter unless you move up to a can light.
