This a good backup flashlight, but I have also done several night dives wih just this divelight. The thumb switch is good with gloves on. I have two of these style lights, and are pleased with the design

Comments about Ikelite Ikelite 7.5 Watts Mini C-Lite (1100):

I use a pair of these lights while river diving in very limited visibility. I have them mounted on a helmet. I was concerned that they would be WAY too heavy, but the river current seemed to balance out the weight. My neck got a little tired near the end of the second dive, but the amount of light that I had was terrific. They are perfect for my needs.

Comments about Ikelite Ikelite 7.5 Watts Mini C-Lite (1100):

Great reliable torch. This is a replacement of my 15 year old Mini C. The only thing personally that I do not like is the new switch lock to prevent the light from accidently coming on.

Comments about Ikelite Ikelite 7.5 Watts Mini C-Lite (1100):

Great for recreational night dives. Kind of heavy but built like a tank too. Plenty of bright light. Switch design prevents unplanned turn on in dive bag or underwater. Needs a lanyard to be secure. Ikelite's is good.

Comments about Ikelite Ikelite 7.5 Watts Mini C-Lite (1100):

I have used the Mini C for years. Although there are newer lights out there, I prefer the Mini C because it is easy to handle and the beam is focus. On a night dive, it does not light up the whole reef, just the section the diver is looking.

I use it for underwater photography. Just if a critter is in a hole that the camera can not focus on with out some extra light.

Very bright light. We bought is as a spotter light for our camera, but enjoyed using it as a main light for night dives.
