The Aquatec Mini LED Light Stick will replace the standard chemical light stick that is, unbelievably, still in use today. The LED Light Stick uses a high intensity LED along with a patented light diffusing acrylic material to give you an incredible glow that is very visible. These light sticks allow you to not only use on your person during a night dive, you can also use them to mark the anchor, entry points, etc. The two different models (constant and flash) and four different colors allow you to be unique and stand out from other divers. Some groups have used these light sticks to color code their members. You can assign each member of your divegroup with a different combination of models and colors. See SKU: AQTLMLC for constant light stick.

Comments about Aquatec Aquatec LED Mini Light, Flashing:

This a good little product, I've only used it once since I bought it but after I used it I rinsed it on fresh water and left it tightly closed.

The morning after that I unscrewed it to remove the batteries and they kind of exploded... there was a bit of corrosion, I tested the light with the extra batteries it comes with and it was fine.

I'm guessing that there are some "fumes" generated by the batteries that can't escape and this causes the corrosion and pressure.

I would recommend to store it without batteries and only put them on for when you're going to use the lamp.

Here in Venezuela the pricing of the LR44 batteries is quite high... but I guess I should've checked that before I bought the lamp.

I'd recommend it because it gives a nice light, you and your buddy can see each other easily if you wear this marker light.

Night dive marker light - not okay?

Comments about Aquatec Aquatec LED Mini Light, Flashing:

I bought this as a tank marker light for night dives. I'm not sure whether the batteries that came with it were faulty? After the first night dive in salt water (and yes, I did rinse it in fresh water after the dive), I gently unscrewed it enough to turn off the LED lamp. The following day, I went to screw it back in, but it was very difficult. I tried un-screwing it when the end cap exploded off. There was some internal corrosion, despite putting some silicone grease on the dual o-rings prior to use. So, I'm a bit wary of the item as of now...

Comments about Aquatec Aquatec LED Mini Light, Flashing:

Very nice product. Well constructed, simple to operate. This LED light will take abuse and is very sturdy. Very easy to see and be seen when using this product. The only weak link for this product is the set of O rings that comes with it. I had purchased this for use while lobster (bug) diving off Catalina last Sept. When I assembled the unit, one of the two O rings broke. I suspect that it had gotten dried out while being in the packaging. One of my friends, who also has one of these lights, told me that the same thing had happened to him [...]Great product. Simple twist on and off operation. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a personal locator light.

The flashing light was good for night diving but the thin lanyard attachment broke after just a few uses. Be sure to have a backup attachment before using.

This light is small and smart looking. It has proven to be more durable than it appears. The different colors make it easy to identify different divers.
