"Out of the way yet easy to find," describes Oceanic's Spinner Knife, which come with a mounting bracket so you can attach its sheath to your BC.

This knife is only six inches long, with a three inch blade. The Spinner comes with either a blunt or pointed tip that is made of solid 304 stainless steel. It has a smooth edge, a serrated edge and a line cutter. The metal butt can be used as a tank banger for convenient signaling underwater.

The sturdy, specially designed sheath keeps the knife secure-yet allows it to be released with just one hand.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Spinner BCD Knife, Black:

This knife has a plastic holder which is exceptionally flimsy. The holder has a plastic lock to keep the knife in its place when not being used. I took the knife out of the holder and accidently replaced it while the lock was in the "locked" position. The knife cut through the lock and I cant lock it anymore. I admit that I broke it but I think it is quite an easy mistake to make especially when you are not looking at the holder when replacing the knife while diving. I'll brobably lose it soon. It also rusted after the first use.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Spinner BCD Knife, Black:

It is convenient to have the knife attached right on your BC, but it can be a bit difficult to retrieve when wearing thick gloves. I would still recommend wearing a larger knife on your leg, just in case.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Spinner BCD Knife, Black:

I've been using the Spinner for about 3 years. It is attached to my Oceanic Excursion BCD. I would not recommend it be used with other brands unless you want to fabricate something to attach it to. The blade has never rusted, fallen out of the sheath, or given me any other problems. It has been used in mostly salt water and some fresh water. Wave action, currents and surface swims are common and it has not let me down.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Spinner BCD Knife, Black:

I was having this knife for long time but did not try cut anything serious like 1/4 inch line etc..
Than we had a training for Ice dive and we also try cut out our selves from tingled lines...!!
The knife has too short cutting blade so I had to try to cut it 4 times....
and the sharp edge were screwed just after this trying...NOT GOOD...!!!!

The knife works fine. The case works fine holding the knife but is kinda difficult to attach to your setup unless you have the oceanic bc to attach it to, but you can deffinately make it work.

Horrible Knife
By AAVerified Reviewer from Miami, FL on 9/22/2007
Pros:
Durable, Functional
Cons:
Poor Craftsmanship, Poor retention clip
Best Uses:
SCUBA Diving
Describe Yourself:
Advanced Diver
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Spinner BCD Knife, Black:

I have had this knife and it withheld several dives, but it can easily fall out of casing. This knife attaches with two small screws to the grommets on the BC (Oceanic), which are small and of poor quality. The case has a rubber strip which really does a poor job of retaining the knife. Beware, I have already lost one knife as a result of the poor craftsmanship so don't fall into my mistake.
