Great bang-for-the-buck, great bag, [...]. great size, weight & capacity. Double zippers you can use TSA locks with.Ben, at Leisure Pro, was terrific, as was Jim at Stahlsac. Both bags are 1680 denier, a very strong material, contrary to what web sites say about the "Cozumel" bag being "Tru-Ballisitc." I looked very closely at the Stahlsac "Cozumel" bag but decided on this one. Happy as a fish in the water. (The "Cozumel" bag is being re-designed over the next few months. It isn't on the market yet.)While the Stahlsac is smaller in size than my Akona it definitely holds more. It is also about 4 lbs lighter. I spent 3 days doing the research on all similar bags & asked a lot of questions.

This bag holds all of my gear, including wet suits. I am able to travel with it, fully packed it weighs less than the airline limit of 50 LBS. I am very pleased with this item.

I went on a trip to the Philippines and the bag worked great. Handle all of my scuba gear and I pack a lot. It also does not tip over. That is a big item when you are going through airports with you laptop bag hooked to the handle. Such a great bag, I bought a second for my other travel items for a trip to Palau and Truk Lagoon in April. The bag will flatten out to about 4 inches. Great for liveaboards.

Large enough to pack all your dive gear and clothes for the trip. Bag is light weight and I am able to keep under the 50 lb limit. This is the 3rd Stahlsac bag I own. I had a seam come unsown after 2 years on 1 and the company repaired it no charge.

Great space for dive gear but pocket for clothes could be a little bigger. I try to pack light but still needed more room.

I used this bag for a recent trip to the Florida Keys. It carried a full set of gear, including a 7 ml wetsuit, bcd, reg, fins, and accessories. I was able to also fit assorted clothes on the inside and outside pockets and still only weighed 40 lbs (42 on the way back with additional purchases made during travel). It rolls and maneuvers easily. I would have liked one more outside pocket. I am quite satisfied with this purchase.

Okay, you've heard it before, "You got get this bag!" But in this case it's true. For years I traveled with my trusted Galapagoes bag, with room galore. The the dreaded airlines and their fuel surcharges, etal. If foudn with a little practice and skill I could get all that I needed in teh way of gear in this bag and bet the airlines weight limits by pounds...all without giving up "stuff" I'd need, like tools and that extra mask.

I am able to fit all of my gear in it, and I do mean all. Large Fins,2 masks in boxes, snorkel, backplate/wing style BC, boots, regulator in reg bag, hood, gloves, and full 5mm XL wetsuit. All that with room to spare. The straps on the inside and outside are nice to keep everything tight.

Comments about Stahlsac Stahlsac W421-B The Jamaican Smuggler:
After reading the rave reviews of the Jamaican Smuggler, I decided to get one. The first time I took this bag on a trip one of the wheels broke; the design of the wheels is such that it is impossible to fix on your own, there is no axle casing as on other bags-- the wheel and axle are integral so when the outer housing breaks the wheel just falls out. Imagine dragging a dive bag to a parking garage where there are no luggage carts. I travel frequently and while good luggage is hard to find and accidents happen, I would not buy another of these bags and in fact am sending this one back. It is light weight but doesn't have much in the way of extra compartments (1 only) or other helpful accessories in the design, it's just a big duffle.

We bought this to take on a trip to the keys and when we received it were skeptical that all our gear would fit. Happily, it fit everything, including 7 mm wetsuit, gloves, hoods, lights, fins, bcd. And there is still enough room to fit whatever other clothers we need for a warm weather vacation.

I love this bag! I have large and heavy cave diving gear that doesn't easily fit in some other brand bags. Everything packs easy with lots of room to spare. It stands on it's own (my other Stahlsac bag does not.) Fully loaded for a recreational dive with an 8lb back plate on my BCD it weighed in at 46lbs.
When I tracked my package for the first time, it had already been delivered!

Comments about Stahlsac Stahlsac W421-B The Jamaican Smuggler:
Just got two of these for the wife and I. We got them the same time we got the rest of our gear, so our LDS cut us a deal on them. LP price seems to be standard retail price on them. They seem to be well constructed. Basic bag design with one large main compartment, one zippered mesh pocket inside main flap, and one roomy pocket on the outside top. Fit my (very large) fins, 3/2 wetsuit components and BCD easily into the main compartment. Fit my snorkel and mask (in hard case) in top pocket. Weighed in at 33 pounds fully loaded. When upright, inside the end of the bag is a fold-down rigid flap that helps the bag keep it's form, and each outside edge has integrated rigid rod, that helps keep the bag upright when you're not rolling it. The back of the bag is also a rigid form, to help protect contents and keep it's shape. Tons of room, and some weight to spare. Happy so far. We'll see how they hold up on the trip to Cayman in June.
