The Cruise Cargo has a hard external case, offering better protection for diving equipment. The inside is lined with an extremely soft material to add protection. Its large size, strong wheels and telescopic handle make this bag extremely easy for dive travel. All Cruise bags are reinforced with stainless steel rivets and screw providing extra durability and extra protection. Very disappointed with this bag after 1 trip - We purchased 2 of these bags for a trip to Little Cayman - #1 bag, on arrival to the resort I discovered a rivet on the top handle had broke through the hard material between the outside cover and the inside liner, it's just a matter of time before the handle would have detached from the bag - #2 bag, when we arrived home we discovered the disk on the side that serves as the bottom when the bag is placed on it's side was coming loose from the bag - These bags are poorly constructed - Our Deep See bags we purchased 5 years ago are better travel bags then these! Our Deep See bags have seen about 40 different airports in that 5 years, we used them for many trips other then dive destination. The Mares Cruise Cargo would never hold up to the careful baggage handlers.

This bag is smaller than I thought. It will NOT hold 2 sets of gear. 1 set of gear with a few extras is a really tight fit.
The bag is well made and I would reccomend it to others, just be prepared for everything not to fit.

I just finished packing for a two week trip to cozumel,got all my gear and most my of clothes in this bag before i hit 50lbs most airlines limit,It still has room for more,this bag is perfict for transporting your gear its hard sides and bottom keep your expencive gear safe .Its made extreamly tough!looks great too. Great bags for travel - they really roll easily, even when fully packed; they hold a lot and are very durable. They do warn you that they are easy to overpack and our [$] luggage fee with the airlines this last trip proved that. But, that's a minor complaint. We are very happy with the 2 that we bought, especially for the price. People who were divers on our trip oohed and ahhed about them.
