I wrote an review when I first recieved this bag critisizing it's size. I now have to admit that I have been through 30 different check-ins on 5 different airlines and never once has there been an issue with size. On non-airline trips this bag will hold a huge amount of gear It is extremely well made and will take a lot of abuse.

Used this bag for vacationing, love the fin pockets! Holds all my gear and then some, even room for cloths and I still met the 50lb weight restriction. Love this bag.

We've used it several times traveling to Mexico and the Keys. Holds a lot of gear, safely. Even the bag handlers couldn't tear it up. We locked the zippers and forgot about it. This is what a gear bag is supposed to be, tough, durable, roomy and it even looks cool.

Stated size of 30" x 16.5" X 12" is incorrect. Bag is 33"H X 21"W x 16.5"D, well over the "62" max overall bag size for airlines. However I must say I was not charged extra by United on my first trip with thi bag.
P.S. Leisurepro...You should correct dimensions stated to reduce returns. I did not have time to return this bag before travel or I would have!

I really love this bag, with one minor exception - the zipper broke on the first trip and required minor repair. Lots of room to hold all your gear! All sorts of pockets and places to stash your stuff.

[...] Love my new bag. A fellow diver looked at it on vacation and was going back home to order one.

The airport rip it apart. But I did get another one
Comments about Mares Mares Technomad 135 Backpack:
Bag is very well made with durable material. It holds all my gear with room to spare, and the wheels and switchable backpack/duffle straps make it a breeze to haul around. It 's designed to be travel bag, so don't expect to take it on a zodiac. The only drawback I've found is the backpack straps are a little bit too long, but then again I'm only 5'7".

old bag died after a vacation, bought this as a replacement, better than I could have hoped, tough, roomy, easy to carry or roll
