Overall, I like the bag. Plenty of room for everything. Reg bag is nice, positioned on the outside for ease, good. A bit too big to bring on the dive boat, but great for travel. No drain holes in bottom, fabric stays wet.
Comments about Akona Akona Progression Roller Bag (AKB156):
The bag is a good size for full wet suit, fins, hooded vest, clothing, and other stuff, but can handle more than the 50 lb. weight limit, so you have to be a little cautious. Used it without incident for perhaps 5 dive trips to the Caribbean, until the last one when a zipper cog/tooth broke and cannot be repaired. Airlines are tough on bags, but thought the zipper teeth should last longer than they did. Have to buy a new bag now.

I bought this for my son. All of his gear fit into the bag with plenty of room. He was even able to pck his weights and wetsuit. If he had needed to pack an extra wetsuit it would have fit as well.

I love this! It is sturdy, the reg bag is a nice plus, and it's padded. To clean it, all you have to do is hose it out. This fit ALL my gear with no problem - even my BC! I have a pretty bulky Zeagle Ranger BC too. I don't think this is listed but it also came with another wallet-style bag. Like a matching pocket-type thing of some sort made of the same material. I don't know what it is supposed to be for, but my dive tables slide in there perfectly and are handy for when I need them rather than shuffled around on the bottom of my bag. In the outside pocket I could fit "backup gear" like a spare mask in a hard case and a skin, which was cool. The wheels have nice treads on them; wheels make travelling with gear sooo much easier! Travelers, please note: this bag is pretty big - it's the size of real luggage, not "carry-on" size. Maybe a little "clunky" to load onto the boat, but there was always boat staff to help me out. They laughed at my bag, saying it was huge, but I didn't think it was, nor did I care because it was so convenient and fit under the seat perfectly on the boat (I had a duffel style mesh bag before which was a pain). I could only find one con with this bag and it's no biggie to me: I dropped my fins once which were in the side strap; they got knocked out somehow. But then again, maybe I didn't have the strap tight enough because I was in a hurry. I would totally buy this bag again and recommend it to all my friends. I was impressed with the quality from the minute I took it out of the box.

I can Stow my normal dive equipment load with no problem. Very organized and secure. It could be a little larger even though it is a good size.

Comments about Akona Akona Progression Roller Bag (AKB156):
The Akona progression roller bag is not exactly what I expected. The suitcase is large, however, flimsy which makes it hard to load scuba gear and additional clothing in the bag. The fin pockets on the inside, do not accommodate my twin jet fins. Due to it's size it is easy to go over the 50 pound airline limit. I have bought numerous scuba related items from Akona and have been very satisfied. Unfortunately this is not one of them.

I really like the bag overall, but would prefer if it had more of a frame around the perimeter of the body to provide a little more rigidity.

Took bag on vacation to Aruba and handled the travel very well. The initial weight of the bag is a little heavy (approx 12 lbs) so I had to be careful about the 50 lb limit set by the airlines.
There plenty of space for a set of gear along with some extra clothes and towels. I'm pleased with the bag overall.

I like the bag because it is durable and is made with quality materials. It's perfect for travel and for storage. It holds my 2 sets of dive gear (warm water and cold water) without a problem. The reg bag that's included is great too!

Comments about Akona Akona Progression Roller Bag (AKB156):
Just returned from a trip to Cayman Brac with my new Akona Progression bag. It is a huge bag, but all the gear just falls to the bottom when you use the wheels and handle. I was left with a big lump of gear in the bottom and nothing at the top. I have several other Akona bags, but this one does not meet my expectations.
Akona made the perfect bag about 3 or 4 years ago, but stopped production. They should reintroduce the Travel Roller Bag No. AKB162.
Are you listening, Akona???
