I'm just starting SCUBA, but I already know how to pack a lot of things in one duffel. This is a big cylindrical backpack w/ a zippered dry pack acting as the backing and a draw string as the top. There is also a smaller dry pack on the rear of the backpack (assuming your wearing it as a backpack).
The mesh looks and feels tough, the zippers look durable, and the straps feel good.
It's big, but not too big. I can fit all my skin gear, flash light, knife, chem light, and not to mention a 7mm full farmer john AND 3mm short suit (rolled up of course). Keep in mind that I'm a small guy.
This means I can lug ALL my gear in one bag from home to college and even to the docks if I really wanted to. Even with all this stuff there's still room for a few smaller things, its not stuffed to capacity.
The only down side is if you have a lot of weight in it (ie. 20lbs of lead plus gear) the draw string won't hold up to the tightest notch, unless u loosen your shoulder straps, or tie a knot. (it's physics at work really)
It won't be a problem for anyone though, the gap created, if this happens, isn't even big enough for a small mask to fit through.
Bottom line:
If your bigger than 5'6 110lbs and have a 7mm full suit, get the bigger size.
It came in perfect condition, on time, and was packed well.

Used this on a couple of boat dives and it held everything. The dry pocket even held my clothes and towel while I was diving, but it was a little tight.
I carried a
- SeaQuest Pro Q BC
- Atomic Smoke on the Water Fins (L)
- Cold water booties
- 3mm full suit
- Reg and octopus
- Mask with hard case and snorkel
- Save a dive kit
- Log book in a mii-binder
- Towel, keys, cash and camera
- Dive light
I also carried all this about a mile to the dive shop. About as comfortable as you could get with this style of pack.
It all packed nicely. Believe I could put my 7mm suit in there.
Bag is very durable and was handy to rinse everything in the rinse tank.
Only negative is they could have put a couple of grommets in the bottom to allow water to drain out. Maybe they didn't want sand getting in? Need to lay the bag down to drain.

Great bag,,,Very well made. It does have two dry pockets and its back pack carrying ability is what I really like. Also looks great. It is big enough for my large fins, mask and snorkel. Leisure Pro is great to do business with as well. They are fast at getting orders out.

I prefer a back-pack style bag to a duffle style because I can carry a camera or tank while the gear is on my back. This bag is great! I can easily put in a set of XL split fins, BCD, 2 sets of regs, 3/5/3 wetsuit, boots, 2 masks, and more. The outer pocket holds a small drybox, or mask box, etc. There is a dry pocket inside perfect for a towel, clothes, or maps. Straps are comfortable, and they include a chest strap, which is awesome! The dry pocket keeps wet gear from touching your back.
As usual, fast delivery, well-packaged.

Plenty of room to store gear. Very convienent to transport gear from hotel to dive boat.

After a year, the mesh has started ripping apart, the handle at the top ripped out, and the shoulder straps are falling apart. The bag is a good size and has all the pockets I need, but it just didn't stand up to hard use. I'll probably end up buying the next better model with rubberized mesh.

Nice large bag, big enough for BC, mask, fins, snorkel, wet suit, and extras. Good buy. Only wish is that it had grommets in the bottom for drainage. But overall, a great bag to haul your gear onto the boat.

Used this in Destin, Fl, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands. Very handy from car to boat, luggage to boat, or hotel to boat. Also great for island exploring and snorkeling. Drains well. Larger than photo. We put one BCD (ladies), 2 masks, 2 sets fins, 2 sets boots, 2 snorkels, and a towel inside. Folds up nicely in our High Sierra duffle for flying. I love it and will purchase one more for convenience.
Always prompt delivery in great condition!

This bag is awesome! I've tried several gear bags and they have ripped to shreds after a weeks use. I found that Akona has the best quality bags I have found, and the prices are great too!
The bag is still fairly easy to carry when full of gear, my boyfriend is amazed that I can carry my own gear!
