I bought this bag for my girlfriend as a Christmas present. She loves it! The dry pockets work very well, and it holds all of her gear. It seems to be built very well, and I will probably buy one for myself here soon.

This is a great bag to haul a complete set of gear to the boat. You can fit everything inside. It even has a side zipper so you can get to the bottom of the bag if you need to, an outside zippered pouch for keys and wallet and an inside dry pocket for your towel and change of clothes..

The only "flaw" is that the top closes with a drawstring that opens as soon as you pull on the straps. The easy answer is to pull it closed with the friction lock, loop it around the drawstring on the other side and throw in a couple of half-hitches. Even if the bag gets wet, I've never had problems untying it.

Granted I wish Akona had figured out a better top closure but the above method works and I can stuff this duffel inside my airline roller bag w/o much difficulty.

A bit tight for BCD and fins with the rest of gear, lacks regulator bag, no good way to attach straps to outside, drawstring closure at end not secure (slips), one outside pocket that is a bit small.
Backpack straps are nice, but can't trust drawstring to hold stuff in at end of bag -- not the best for boat trips.

We just needed a good way to get our BC's, fins, boots, regs, etc. to the dive boat together. This worked perfectly. Bringing stuff back wet inside the bag was no problem, as it was very easy to clean and dry.

We took these bags to Cayo Coco for a dive vacation last month and they were ideal. You can't check them as they are for air travel, but you can fill them with your gear and they still fit into a standard duffle bag and don't add too much weight themselves. The bags performed perfectly while we were travelling but our dive master thought they were too large to take on the boat itself. Just one was more than large enough to hold snorkeling gear for two people, and the long pocket at the back was perfect for keeping snorkels separate and unsandy. I really liked the comfortable backpack design, plus it had a handle. I would definitely buy this bag again.

The photo doesn't do this product justice. The mesh is extremely sturdy and the bag opens in two directions with easy carrying in either direction. The backpack style shoulder holster completed with chest strap is spectacular. Thanks Leisure Pro!

I've currently dive in the caribbean as I attend vet school here, but I fly back home to California every semester. So I thought using a sturdy bag w/wheels (and no telescoping handle) would be great for my gear. No, it was not!! It was very heavy when I carried it. This bag though evenly distributes the weight and I don't feel the weight at all!! This is a great bag, my stuff stayed dry in the dry pouch and it fit my towel in the dry pocket inside! I definitely recommend this bag!

I've used this bag for keeping my gear together on boats, drying gear in storage areas, and just to go playing at the beach. The straps make it confortable to carry. The material and mesh is great quality and it seems durable enough to last for years and years to come. Very affordable and worth the price. Some dive companies won't even let you on their boat unless you have a mesh bag. A must have for all divers!

This bag fits all my dive gear plus some, and is easy to carry. The front pocket is big enough to fit a dry box, or regulators.
The side opening is a bit small for stuffing in larger items (fins-BC) and the top opening has a draw string that can catch on equipment as you try to pull it out. This would be the perfect Dive bag with a slight adjustment of joining the side and the top openings together to make one big opening.
