So far it's a great lamp!

Solid light!

By MatthewM

Took the light on 2 dives so far and really liked. throws a lot of light, and the angle is just right. Weight is no issue once youre in the water. Seems sturdy, and no leakage yet. Batteries that came with it were loose in a bag, touching one another and dead. Put in a new set, and theyre not ruuning down at all so far! Quite Happy with purchase.

The Princeton Tec Sector 5 pistol grip spotlight packs 550 lumens of brightness. The light is powered by four C-cell alkaline batteries (included) which keep it compact while providing 24-hours of total burn time with a 3-hour regulated medium bam with over 557.75' (170 meter) of visible distance on land. The trigger switch is easy-to-use with gloved hands; access momentary on via a half pull of trigger and constant on via full pull of trigger. The switch locks out to prevent accidental illumination and battery drain while in transit or storage.

The highest quality LED available from LUMILEDS, Princeton Tec's Max-Bright LED is extremely bright and efficient. This single LED emits a smooth, powerful, and white light useful for a wide range of tasks. Princeton Tec uses collimators or reflectors with the Max-Bright LED depending upon the application. The Sector 5 weighs 23 oz. (650 g) with batteries, is depth rated to 330' (100 meters) IPX8, is available in multiple colors, and comes with an owner's manual.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Has the leak issue been fixed with this light?
YAN G  There was a problem with the switch, but Princeton tec did correct that issue, and all the new ones have the update. Can be identified by 40th anniversary sticker on box.
ANDRE R  IS IT THAT THIS SECTOR 5 CAN ONLY GO FOR 3 HOURS ON BRIGHT?
KEVIN F  Correct. The light will burn at 500 Lumens for 3 hours, at which point it will continue to output light but as battery life decreases so will the brightness. 24 hours is the total amount of burn time for a set of fresh batteries.
LING W  Does this have the Hi/Low power mode of the miniwave II that it seem to be replacing? Also, what is its beam width?
Joe P  Hi. My name is Joe Pie from Austin Texas. The sector 5 beam width is relative to how far away from your subject you are. I have 3 of these and can say the beam hot spot is about 30 inches in diameter when you are 8-10 feet away and shine it on a wall, the peripheral halo ( also very Bright ) is about 10 feet in diameter. Great light!
YAN G  This is a new item, its not in stock, and we have no further information at this time.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ALAN M  I like it and it will replace my previous purchase as it got broken on the dive boat by accident.
Laurie M  Had a blue one for years and it just broke. Pink was pretty and for a good cause!
