Shopper Hi,
kinda of confused - some comments indicates that it does not have an oral inflation.
so does it or does it not have an oral inflation ?
for the oral inflation - is it one of those that i can use a LP BC inflator hose as well ? or i can only blow into it (similar to those that you see on aircraft lift vests) ?
DAVID M No oral valve. This is about 2 and a half meters (almost 8 feet) of marker buoy, so my lungs, at least, won't inflate it. I only deployed it once. Hold the open end under water to seal, and wrap it around the 2nd stage or octopus. Push the purge valve until inflated and standing up. It has a dump valve to deflate, and no connections for an inflater hose. The feature I like is a velcro flap to help secure the buoy when it's rolled up. However, like every marker buoy I've used, if I'm not careful securing it, it comes unwrapped from the inside out. I've had one occasion of it coming undone during a dive so I trailed it throughout the dive.
Regards
STEVEN V Yes it has an opening for regulator filling, an over pressurize valve, And a port for either manual inflation or using and LPI line.
JEFFREY B It does orally inflate You can also use your low pressure inflater off you bcd
SCOTT C It has both an oral inflation option, similar to an aircraft life vest but also has an option, at the bottom, to use a reg to inflate. This is a great SMB, large enough to be seen in a rough sea but, if rolled very tightly, will fit into a dive-rite spare mask pouch. This is a significant step up from the $15 lightweight SMB's you see on the end cap at the dive shop. I highly recommend it.
KUNTAL J Hi - this type of SMB does not have an external oral inflation system. You have to use your regulator to inflate the SMB. Hope this helps,
K
